Breaking Beauty News! Zelens Treatment Drops Launches

I’ve always been highly impressed with Zelens skincare and this time is no different with the launch of Zelens Treatment Drops. On March 1st at Space NK, three of these Treatment Drops will drop in store (no pun intended). The treatment drops are meant to be added to existing skincare or used as a pre-serum booster, added to foundation or moisturiser or mixed with your current serum. You can choose which treatment drop you want – there are three of them – Power A Treatment Drops, Power C Treatment Drops and Power D Treatment Drops.

Depending on what your skin needs depends on what treatment drop you go for. I chose to go for the Power A Treatment Drops which contain high potency Vitamin A (Retinol). The benefits of the Power A drops include refining and smoothing skin texture, reducing the appearance of visible signs of ageing and also helping to clear blemishes and other skin imperfections. As someone who often breaks out in hormonal spots but is also dealing with the problem of the first signs of ageing this was the one for me.

I’ve been using my Power A treatment drops as a pre-serum skincare booster. The spreadability of the formula is really good so a little goes a long way – I use one drop on each cheek and one on my forehead and that’s all you really need. The great thing about this retinol treatment is that there is no irritation (as retinol can sometimes cause this). I have to say that I am really, really loving this. I have a little bit of acne scarring on one side of the face (very minor but annoying all the same) and the Power A Treatment Drops seem to have really smoothed out that area. I’ve been using this product for about two weeks now and overall, I would say that my skin does look more uniform in tone which makes me very happy! It hasn’t irritated my skin or caused any breakouts either.

The next thing I want to talk about is the Z Detox Clarifying Foaming Cleanser. I was in great need of a cleanser and this works amazingly at removing make-up. It also takes only one pump with this particular cleanser rather than two or three pumps from other cleansers. The Z Detox cleanser removes environmental pollutants from the skin, surface impurities and make-up/oil. It doesn’t strip the skin however so that is important to note. I felt this really removed my make-up. The cleanser contains AHAs (Alpha Hydroxy Acids), fermented fruit enzymes and botanical extracts. The interesting ingredient to note in this is Shiso leaf which comes from Japan and is a strong anti-oxidant with additional detox properties.

Another thing I have really been in need of this winter is a lip treatment. I am always after fuller lips (without the injections) and so try to keep them constantly moisturised. Recently with the weather they have been getting dryer and dryer so I was thrilled when the Zelens Lip Treatment Oil fell into my hands. This is no ordinary lip balm but contains 9 plant oils that have an anti-ageing effect. The formula really moisturises the lips and protects them against further environmental damage. The treatment also helps to improve lip texture, plumpness and shape. I really like this and have been applying it in the evening as an overnight treatment. The Zelens Lip Treatment Oil also contains two strong peptides that stimulate natural collagen and lip repair. And who doesn’t need that in the winter?
