Aesop: The Parsley Seed Range Review

I used to live across the street from the Aesop HQ in Melbourne, Australia in a cool, hip neighbourhood called Fitzroy. Yes, true story. Every day I walked by the Aesop HQ wondering what the brand was and what they made. While living and travelling in Australia, I soon discovered this brilliant brand through my housemate at the time, who was really into natural beauty and splurged on a product on payday from the Aesop store in Melbourne. She let me try it and sure enough, I was converted. But why you ask? Read on!

Aesop, the brand, looks, feels and is cool. The packaging initially caught my eye and I thought, who is this cool, hipster brand with modern, minimalist designs? However, look past the cool design and you will discover a brand whose naturally-derived products are actually really lovely. That’s the kicker and why I actually fell for the brand and subsequently, the products themselves. I have been wanting to try the Parsley Seed range for ages because as I live in London and there is pollution and environmental aggressors, I wanted to protect my skin with antioxidants. Parsley seed is a potent antioxidant, protecting the skin from free radicals in the air. So I finally got my hands on the range to review…

So first up is the Parsley Seed Facial Cleansing Oil. I love, love a cleansing oil. This one is super gentle yet still does it’s job and it is exactly the kind of cleansing oil I like in the fact that it is an oil when it hits your skin but the second you add water, it turns into a milky solution that rinses off easily. So you get the loveliness of an oil to massage in but the easiness of milky solution to rise off. My skin felt nice and soft after using this.

Once you have cleansed your skin, move onto the next step in the regime which is moisturising. The Aesop Parsley Seed Anti-Oxidant Hydrator is brilliant for those who like a simple yet effective moisturiser that isn’t too rich and greasy and sits under make-up well. This moisturiser smells amazing (like botanicals), sinks in easily but still keeps skin hydrated. My skin loved it and it’s perfect for normal to dry skin.

Let’s last but not least treat the eyes. Never, ever forget the eyes! It’s where we age most easily and where we should be taking extra care in our anti-ageing regime. The Aesop Parsley Seed Anti-Oxidant Eye Serum is a fabulous serum that is specifically for the eye area to hydrate and bring fatty acids to the skin around the eyes. A great thing about eye products as well is that they don’t make your eyes water. A lot of people with sensitive eyes like mine would benefit from using an eye product simply because they are formulated not to sting the eyes and make them water. A little goes a long way with this product as well and I found it lasted ages.

I really take care of the skin around my eyes and I find that the serum is an added layer of protection!
