HOT: Warmer Weather Beauty Favourites

Oh I LOOOOOVE when my bundle from Lookfantastic arrives every month. I’m like a kid at Christmas because I have no idea what is coming but I know it’s gonna be good. As you may know I’m a Lookfantastic Beauty Set ambassador and with that get to try new goodies every month and it’s so exciting as a lot of them I’ve never ever tried before. So here’s my Lookfantastic haul with some of my warmer weather beauty faves from this month – it’s a good one!

Emma Hardie Moringa Renewal Treatment Mask

Now people who love Emma Hardie, LOVE Emma Hardie. She and her brand both have a cult following and people rave about the products so I gave a little squeal when I saw this mask. This is an overnight mask (or you can just leave it on for 10-15 minutes) and is all about that hydration. My skin has been super dry and parched lately from a lot of travel so this was a nice treat for my face when I got home. The mask contains a load of good stuff including Moringa Oil (think radiance), Red Algae (good for pigmentation) and Hyaluronic Acid (plumping) to boost the skin and even out the complexion. A great mask when you feel like your skin needs a good boost.

Mauli Brain & Beauty Alchemy

I am loving everything about Ayurvedic beauty these days and I’ve covered Ayurvedic oils for the hair, Ayurvedic supplements and facial treatments and I’ve got another from Mauli this month called Brain & Beauty Alchemy which is a whole food supplement that is formulated to balance a Vata dosha (there are 3 doshas – Google to see which one you are). This is easy to take – you simply add it to your cereal or a hot drink or warm water. This helps to sharpen concentration, assist sleep and cleanse the digestive system (all things I need). I’ve been feeling quite foggy-brained lately so it’s nice to be able to take something that helps me focus (that is not caffeine).

Bobbi Brown How to Define & Glow (Light) – contains Bobbi Brown Glow Stick Illuminator (Beach Babe) and Skin Foundation Stick (Almond)

I love Bobbi Brown and always have – the products are just that good. Bobbi Brown have just released a set as well (worth £90 but selling for £57) that is all about highlighting and defining the facial contours (I’ve got the one for light complexions). So basically you get a Skin Foundation Stick in Almond which you can use to conceal and perfect the skin. This one is a bit too dark for my skin tone however so I will be using it as a very ‘nude’ eyeshadow and also contour stick. But these Foundation Sticks are brilliant (I’ve tried them before) and they are perfect for on-the-go touch-ups as well.

Also with the set comes a Glow Stick in ‘Beach Babe’ which is a highlighter so swipe across cheekbones and use on the brow bones to give yourself a fabulous glow. The set also comes with a Full Coverage Face Brush that allows you to blend it all seamlessly.

Ellis Faas Creamy Lips (Colour for Lips L101)

I’ve heard so much about the brand Ellis Faas that I was really so excited to receive one of their Creamy Lips products – they’ve just launched on Lookfantastic. This is a beautiful lip stick – it’s creamy as it says and leaves behind a lovely stain. This one is the colour of a good Merlot – it’s sexy and sultry with just a bit of sheen to accentuate the lips. I also like that it comes out on a sponge applicator tip – making it nice and easy to apply.

Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Sparkle Stick (Galactic)

Anything with the name ‘Sparkle Stick’ has to be good right? That’s exactly what I thought about this Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Sparkle Stick when I got it. It’s an eyeshadow pen (I love these as they are so easy to apply) and the formula is super creamy and easy to blend in. It is a long wear formula – both water and sweat resistant so if you are going to have a long day and want your eyeshadow to last then this is the eyeshadow you should reach for.

Sleek Highlighting Palette (Solstice and Copperplate)

Guess what? I’m in love with the Sleek Highlighting Palettes. Honestly they are so good and so reasonably priced for what they are. I’ve been using them for years and not just to highlight but also as eyeshadows. I’ve still got the original one I had from about 3 years ago. The pigment is really strong and I love that you can use this literally anywhere – on the face or body. If you are wearing an off-the-shoulder top for example, you could sweep this across the décolletage and the tops of the shoulders. I love the Copperplate for the bronze and molten metal shades – absolutely gorgeous and a real bang for your buck.

Sleek i-Divine Mineral-Based Eyeshadow Palette (A New Day)

Mineral-based make-up is sometimes expensive so if you don’t have the money to go high-end then the Sleek Makeup I-Divine Eyeshadow Palette is certainly one to turn to. The shadows can be used wet or dry as well and again the pigment is impressive.

Sleek Matte Me Ultra-Smooth Lip Cream (Birthday Suit and STFU)

I’ve also been impressed with the Sleek Matte Me Ultra-Smooth Lip Cream. They are really quite impressive and I’ve been impressed with Sleek products overall as a brand. The products are really pigmented and the lipsticks are really good quality as well. I love the colours in the range too – there is a colour for everyone!

La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo +

If you are suffering from breakouts from the change in weather like I have then the La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo+ will certainly help. It is meant for oily and acne-prone skin. I often get red spots that turn into brown spots and this helps to prevent that. My skin always breaks out as well when the weather changes so I have been keeping this on hand to keep spots at bay.

Sleek Matte Me Metallic Lip Cream (Copperplate)

The Sleek Matte Me Metallic Lip Cream is a new one and it’s got a metallic sheen to it which gives a twist to your everyday lip colour. I love this Copperplate colour and use it with the Copperplate Highlighting Palette I raved about earlier. Molten metals will be yours.
