We all want to be artists and that’s where make-up comes into play. I never underestimate the power of make-up whether that’s a bold, red lip or a contour to highlight my cheekbones. With make-up we can all be our own artists every single day. For fear of sounding cheesy, I honestly feel that way! Kiko Milano has just released (available now) a new Limited Edition ‘The Artist’ collection for the artist in all of us. And it’s good!
The collection contains both make-up and tools in which to create your perfect look. I would have to say one of my favourite products from the new collection is the Blending Wave Multicolor Blush. This is just so pretty that I just wanted to stare at it all day instead of actually using it! This blush is all about the blend and the colour below (Artistic Pink) is great for fair skin.
This collection really encompasses everything you will actually need. I am LOVING The Artist Powder Face Brush (below). It’s so pretty isn’t it? I love my make-up brushes to be both pretty and do pretty things to my face and this one certainly ticks both boxes. The bristles are super-soft as well and this is great for using with a loose powder.
I hadn’t previously tried any of Kiko’s foundation but I was really impressed with the Glacial Light Soft Sifter Foundation. It actually contains glacial water and I found that it blends really well too. It’s incredibly affordable at £12.90. The packaging and the way the foundation is dispensed also allows you to really control how much you put on your face and also protects the remaining formula which is brilliant.
Oh lipsticks – I really can’t get enough! These Kiko Colour Click Lipsticks are so nice and with their packaging they click open and close so would be great to carry in the handbag on the go because they won’t come open in your bag. The formula is also really creamy and is not drying to lips.
The Colour Click Lipsticks are even better when paired with the Kiko Fine Art Lip Pencils. These have a really interesting shape – a triangle to be exact. This ensures a better grip and increases control so you can get really defined lips. I love a lip liner and think they are essential if you are going for a very defined lip.
For the eyes there is The Artist Stroke Mineral Loose Eyeshadows which are exactly how they sound – loose mineral eyeshadows. The pigment is really rich in these and I really again appreciated the unique application (a dispensing method) so that you can control the colour and protect the rest of the product as well. The pigments are actually enriched with precious stones so they are really intense.
And last but not least as it’s all about strobing these days there is the Glowing Pearl Cushion Highlighter which is an illumination pen with a soft cushion applicator. I had not seen this kind of applicator elsewhere and in fact, with this whole collection, Kiko have really focused on the actual application process of the make-up which is really interesting. This pen (below) is fantastic for carrying around in the handbag again for touch ups on-the-go.
Below I’ve used the Artist Stroke Mineral Eyeshadow in Bespoke Rose, the Glacial Light Soft Sifter Foundation, Blending Wave Multicolor Blush and also used the Face Powder Brush to apply my powder!
