Mothers deserve a thank you – after all, they raised you, fed and clothed you until you were a full-functioning adult – right? Well, hopefully this is true in most cases and if it is, then you definitely have to say thank you to your mother this year for Mother’s Day. I’ve picked my top three gift ideas across fashion, beauty and fragrance and put them in a Luxury Mother’s Day Gift Guide to really please any mother out there. Here’s your time to say thank you!
So for gift idea #1, I’ve chosen fragrance. I’ve been a bit inspired by the catwalks at Milan Fashion Week this year and have stumbled across this gorgeous fragrance by Missoni. It’s a real crowd pleaser, this one. And even though it comes from fashion’s biggest couture houses, it’s a really lovable scent that would appeal to many women.
What makes this a crowd pleaser is its feminine scent. It is certainly modern yet classic at the same time. The bottle is gorgeous and truly luxurious. The fragrance is also an Eau de Parfum meaning that the scent will last much longer on the skin, making this a true gift that keeps on giving throughout the day, every day. The bottle is made of blown glass and in pink and blue so with the design this is truly a collectible.
The scent is of jasmine, tonka beans and citrus fruits so it feels uplifting while being sensual and classic at the same time. The bottle also comes in a gorgeous white box with the Missoni label clearly recognisable – showing the true luxury of this gift. Your mother will know that you mean it when you say thank you with this!
My gift idea #2 goes towards everyday luxury in the form of lingerie. Now I know lingerie isn’t a gift most people think of giving their mothers but what about a voucher to buy some nice lingerie? My mom always buys this for herself when she wants to really pamper herself but I think she would prefer it if she got a chance to do this more often as it feels too indulgent sometimes to do it on your own. I love Ultimo for their bras and underwear sets and they are really good price points yet feel super luxurious all the same.

Idea #3 for Mother’s Day is skincare – an anti-ageing serum from Bakel called Jaluronic to be more precise. The reason I chose this particular serum is because it is really luxurious and also effective as it contains only two ingredients to boost hydration – water and hyaluronic acid.
I found this serum to be no fuss – great for busy mothers! And it is super hydrating too which is great for around this time of year.
Mothers are usually concerned about ageing and my mother is always pleased when I give her some serious skincare that she otherwise would not have splurged on herself. This one would suit a range of skin types because its main focus is hydration. The reason it is so hydrating is that it contains hyaluronic acid that is of a low molecular weight, meaning it sinks into skin where you need it quite effectively. Also this can be used around the eyes and on the neck too, making this an all-in-one moisturiser/serum.
