I’ve got a confession – I’m a real lipstick addict. Not a fake one, a REAL one. I’ve got over 100 (possibly 200 lipsticks) all in different textures, shapes, sizes, colours, formulas. And TBH, I can’t really get enough of them. There is something about a lipstick that can change your whole look and each time I discover one I think is my fave, I find a new one to love. There are so many amazing lipsticks out there and if you haven’t discovered the transformational power of a lipstick well…I suggest you go put one on RIGHT NOW! Here are some of my favourite new lipsticks I’ve tried lately.
This simply has to be one of the most beautiful lip glosses I have come across this season. The colour is simply divine – a gorgeous wine colour that leaves lips with a glossy lacquered look. The formula feels soothing on the lips as well and contains a peptide complex to boost collagen so not only does the gloss look good, it is good too!
L’Oreal are really killing it when it comes to lipsticks on the high street. If you are looking for luxe beauty at half the price then some of their new collections are certainly worth a look at. Take for instance the new Infallible Metallic Lip Paints. I’ve seen metallic as a trend for lips really blown up recently and these are perfect for the holiday season as well with a metallic shine. New Year’s Eve party here I come!
L’Oreal x Balmain (Liberation, Confession, Power)
For me, this was one of the most exciting collaborations in the world of beauty this year. L’Oreal teaming up with fashion powerhouse Balmain? I mean, what a match made in beauty heaven. I am SO impressed with these lipsticks – they are creamy and dreamy and the colours are really unique as well. You have your classic reds but also burnt coppers and even blue! The packaging is so gorgeous as well so I urge you to get your hands on a piece of these amazing lipsticks before they are gone!
L’Oreal Paris Cheryl’s Lip Kit – Paint It In Burgundy, Paint It Peach and Dracula’s Blood Lipstick
If you are looking for a lipliner and lip cream combo then I would definitely recommend L’Oreal Paris Cheryl’s Lip Kit. There are three kits in Paint it Burgundy, Peach or Greige. My favourite is the Paint It Burgundy – it’s the perfect wine shade for winter. The kit comes with the Infallible Lip Liner and matching Matte Liquid Lip Paint. The Liquid Lip Paint feels soft and creamy and not drying at all. Lips look sharp, defined and classically matte with this dream duo.
