The Latest Korean Skincare Brand That Should Be on Your Radar

If you follow me you will know that I LOVE Korean skincare. I’ve been to Korea FIVE separate times and also created a Korean beauty box with all my favourite Korean beauty brands. I’ve been using Korean beauty products even before they become a ‘trend’ – I’m a true fan and I’m in it for the long-haul. A new brand that I’ve discovered is Julep (launching exclusively on QVC this month!) which is inspired by all things Korean. And it’s safe to say I’m already in love. Here’s some of my favourites…

Korean beauty products

Julep Night Shift Deep Sleep Facial Mask

Ah…sleep. Sleep is when the body repairs itself and not only does your body get some rest and repair but your skin does too. Also, I always think why not use that time to your advantage? When your skin is in the rest and repair stage and not exposed to the elements outside is when you can really treat it to some goodness. I’ve been trying the Night Shift Deep Sleep Facial Mask from Julep which I really love.

I’m a fan of a sleeping mask because they are so easy to use. Simply apply after cleansing and go to bed – it doesn’t get much easier than that! This sleeping mask contains sunflower seed oil, hyaluronic acid and coconut oil so it’s really hydrating and super nourishing with the fatty acids in the oils. Slather on when skin is feeling dry and tight and you will be happy to see soft skin by morning!

Julep Love Your Face Hydrating Cleansing Oil

I love using a cleansing oil in the morning because it gently cleanses the face and massaging it in really wakes up my skin and gets it glowing for the day. The Julep Hydrating Cleansing Oil is lovely and luxe and it doesn’t leave any greasy feeling on the face after using it. It contains all my favourite oils including rosehip, grapeseed and olive oils as well as a green coffee bean oil!

Julep Boost Your Radiance Reparative Rosehip Seed Facial Oil

One of my favourite all-time beauty products is rosehip seed facial oil and this one from Julep is a winner because again, it’s lightweight. Rosehip fixes a number of sins including uneven skin tone, dullness, fine lines – it really is a wonder oil. Rosehip oil has become quite the hit in Korea as well with many Korean women using it. I like using this oil in the evening before applying my favourite moisturiser for an extra hit of hydration in the winter.

Julep Love Your Bare Face Detoxifying Cleansing Stick

I LOVE this product – it’s the kind of product that I find really innovative because it makes life a lot easier. This is the first I’ve seen of its kind – a cleansing stick. Yes, really! This is a fabulous product to take travelling because it fits in your bag and you just use apply it onto wet hands and work into a lather. There is no mess to clean up and no spillage in your bag. It’s definitely making my list for travel beauty essentials this year! The cleanser itself also cleanses gently but doesn’t leave skin feeling dry or tight.

Julep What Your Skin Needs Restorative Facial Milk

Facial milk features a lot in Korean skincare. Koreans love them because they are super lightweight and sink in quickly making them an essential part of the extensive skincare rituals of Korean women. The great thing about Korean products and why there are so many steps in a Korean woman’s skincare routine is that the products sink in quickly. I mean imagine having 10 layers of thick creams and residues on your face – it just wouldn’t work. The What Your Skin Needs Restorative Facial Milk literally sinks into skin in a heartbeat making it a real quick fix when it comes to your skin’s hydration levels. If you like a lightweight moisturiser then this is definitely one to try!

Julep It’s Whipped Matte Lip MousseBisou, Amore, Pillow Talk

I love a lip crème and this one is whipped meaning it’s super light on the lips and doesn’t feel drying at all. The colour lasts as well – through coffee, mid-morning snack and multiple meetings. Impressive indeed.

Julep It’s Balm Full Coverage Lip Crayon – Vintage Mauve Crème

Now we move onto make-up! Koreans do lip products really well – in particular stains and oils and all sorts of hybrids. The Julep It’s Balm Full Coverage Lip Crayon is a lip balm-lipstick hybrid meaning that it’s like a lip balm with full-pigment colour. Perfect for the cold winter days! And also the crayon applicator makes it super easy to apply on-the-go.

Julep 5-in-1 Skin Perfecter with Turmeric

Korean make-up has it nailed when it comes to cushions – cushion eyeshadows, cushion blushes, cushion foundations. Honestly cushion form anything gives such natural coverage due to the light touch when applying. The Julep 5-in-1 Skin Perfecter with Turmeric (a hot little skincare ingredient of the moment) is great when used on-the-go because you can use it as a concealer, to touch up foundation or as a primer. The coverage is also buildable and the turmeric helps to brighten the skin. I’m loving the on-the-go products recently simply because I’m so busy and when I have the right ones I can go from a day to a night look on the go (and no one will ever know I did it in a cab!).
