BD is back! Revamped, rebranded and repackaged, BD Trade Secrets is launching this month in Tesco so make sure to check out this revamped budget beauty range with a prestige feel.
If you don’t know about BD, it launched in 1998 in collaboration with make-up artist Barbara Daly. Now, it has been rebranded and Abby Ireland, prestige make-up artist has worked with Tesco to develop the new and improved BD Trade Secrets collection.
A great thing about this collection is that nothing is over a tenner so you can feel like you can splurge without the guilt.
A key product in this collection is the BD Trade Secrets Face Lift which has been the best seller of the brand for years. It can be used on its own as a moisturiser or as a primer. I used it as a moisturiser as it has a slight tint to it so it’s great to use on the weekend for no make-up Sundays!
Here are some of my other favourites from the new collection:
I love the look of the Eyeshadow Bon Bons in a quad of shades called ‘Innocent Chic’. These metallic colours are beautiful for fall and would work with all skin types and eye colours. This is truly a luxe for less item at £8.99.
The Velvet Touch Bronzer (below) is my next pick and I like it because it comes in a convenient and portable compact case with a mirror. This would be great to take on holiday to fake a summer glow!
The Velvet Cream lipstick below in ‘Studio 1’ is a lovely red-wine coloured shade that again, is perfect for fall and adding a touch of glam for an evening out.
My favourite in the whole collection has to be the Dream Shine Highlighter as seen on my hand below.
Once you rub it in it gives an lovely iridescent glow. I would recommend mixing it into your foundation to give a nice dewy sheen to the skin and to disguise tiredness.
I also got a Light Effect Concealer Pen which I think would be great used as a highlighter to draw a line on the top of the nose and a V shape in between your eyebrows to make the area look lifted and the nose to look thinner.
Another product worth noting that I will be adding to my wish list is Goodbye Yellow Nail brilliant clear polish. It contains a unique whitening agent that helps to make stained, discoloured nails appear clean and healthy. And as I mentioned before, nothing in this range is over ten pounds so that truly is winning!
