London Fashion Week. When it arrives I always feel like a kid at Christmas. The fashion, the shows….ahh. This year the Gyunel AW15 show did not disappoint. I stopped off at Beauty and Fashion Monitor Beauty Lounge prior to the show to relax and refuel before jetting off in my John Rocha slingbacks (http://bit.ly/1EAJ1qL) to the Bloomsbury Ballrooms.
Ella Eyre kicked off the show with a bang with her amazing ‘Gravity’ single which was a fantastic start.
For AW15, Gyunel tells the story of a post apocalyptic survivor clinging onto the memories of her past. We travel through Gyunel’s childhood in and out of famous novels and her vivid imagination.
Layers of neoprene, woven silks and perforated leather decorate the collection, paying tribute to the mythical creatures of times gone by. I thought many of the pieces were completely wearable and could see myself in many of the clothes – taking me to work or play.
The show stopper of the evening was the final look (below), complete with an ‘alien’ belt that resembled octopus tentacles.
