I always look forward to my monthly Glossybox – the themes constantly change and they always keep it fresh and fun!
This box pays homage to Hollywood; the sophistication and glamour of old Hollywood in particular and icons like Marilyn Monroe and Rita Hayworth.
The box contains five beauty products that will give you the classic Hollywood look made famous by screen sirens of the past.
Lord & Berry Lipstick Pencil in Kiss
Darphin Beauty Revealing Cream
Nougat London Soothing Bath Pearls
Color Club Nail Polish in Barely There
Pop Beauty Kajal Eyeliner Pen
I am going to start with my favourite product in the box which is the Lord & Berry Lipstick Pencil in Kiss! This is what I like to call a ‘power’ red. Think girl boss, wonder woman, whatever comes to mind. It is a highly pigmented classic red that draws on the perfect pout and lasts for hours. I tried it on a sunny afternoon and it lasted for about five hours before I needed to touch it up and that was after two biscuit and coffee breaks!
Darphin Beauty Revealing Cream is the next beauty product I was excited to try – this can be used as a day and night cream and helps to soften fine lines and wrinkles. It’s a great sample size that you could take with you on a weekend away.
So what else in is in the box?
There’s nothing like a bath to make you feel pampered and Nougat London Soothing Bath Pearls will do just that. They even have a subtle sheen so this would be great to use in the bath while getting ready for a big night out so your skin will positively glow! Red carpet, get ready.
You can’t go for Hollywood glamour without nude nails. I had never heard of the brand Color Club Nail Polish but they included a polish in the box called Barely There. It’s perfect for spring so put away your dark polishes and go for this subtle one instead.
Sophistication begins with the eyes. I really like the Pop Beauty Kajal Eyeliner Pen in the box because I can use it to tightline my eyes really well. It has a really sharp point so gets into the lash line really well. With a smudge tip on the other end it’s great for tightlining!
