I was invited to a Glo & Ray beauty bloggers event in London to check out their latest summer products. Glo & Ray are a new beauty brand to the scene, launching in 2012 and trust me when I tell you that their products are absolutely gorgeous. The colours are highly-pigmented and the foundations/powders give great coverage.
I’ve covered Glo & Ray previously – nearly a year ago – when I tried their Velvet Two-Way Cake Powder – which is an amazing setting powder that gave a soft finish to my make-up as well as having really good coverage.
So needless to say I was excited to see what was in store for summer 2015!
First off let’s talk about lips. Lipsticks are one thing that I just can’t ever seem to have enough of. This trio below comes in the La Amo Shimmer Shimmer Shimmer Lip Colour Set.

Even though there are just three colours in the set – the colours provided really cover every need. You have your light dusty rose, a berrylicious and coral red shade.
As you can see the colours are gorgeous and contain just a hint of shimmer in them for summer.
Coverage is good and is buildable – meaning you can go a little deeper or a little lighter depending on how much you apply. I love the shade in ‘Honey’ below – I think it’s perfect for summer and can see myself at a festival in this one!
Next let’s talk about the face. Glo & Ray has a lovely CC Primer which is colour-correcting so it will hide blemishes, acne scars, hyperpigmentation – you name it! Use it before applying foundation and make sure you give it enough time to let it sink in before applying foundation. I always apply primer and then brush my teeth in the morning to give it enough time to sink in before applying foundation.
I am in love with the Skybreaker range of eye-liners. There are eight in a set that you can buy and one of them is even red (very trendy!). I have the Orchid colour as seen below. The pigment is intense and the effect is long-lasting. I swatched the entire range on my hand at the event and it didn’t budge, even hours later after traipsing around in the rain!
Last but not least it’s all about turquoise for the summer. Think deep ocean blues, turquoise seas and sandy beaches. I love the Eyeshadow Quartet below in Mariposa. The colours are absolutely beautiful and remind me of the sea. What’s not to love?
