An Introduction to Kiko Cosmetics

Everyone goes crazy for Kiko Cosmetics and I have probably been the last person to try the brand! So for anyone out there who hasn’t tried Kiko, here’s a little introduction to Kiko lipsticks, serums, bronzers and eyeshadows in particular.

Kiko Silk Pearl Illuminating Bronzer

This is a gorgeous silky bronzer that comes in equally gorgeous packaging. I have never seen anything like this packaging – you wouldn’t want this hiding on the shelf! Use it with a contouring brush – I found this colour really matched my skin as well. I struggle with bronzers but this one blends really well and the colour complements fair skin tones! There are three shades in this compact (which is shaped like a pearl) and you can use them all together or one at a time, depending on your needs.

Kiko Shape & Shimmer Eyebrow & Highlighter Pencil

This is a great product that is a super multi-tasker. The eyebrow pencil point is really sharp and allows you to draw very defined flicks on your eyebrow to mimic actual hairs. Then the highlighter end you can use to highlight the eyebrow arch to really define your eyebrows. This is a great product to travel with because it’s two in one!

Kiko Dark Tide Eyeliner

This eye pencil is fantastic – it’s sharp yet smooth and the colour is pigment-rich. I found that it didn’t stray during the day either and it’s waterproof!

Moonshadow Water-Infused Eyeshadow (01, 03, 04)

These stick eyeshadows have a really interesting texture. You can really tell that they are water-based because they feel smooth and well, watery upon application. The finish is pearlescent and because they come in a stick application they are really easy to apply and give you a lot of control. They are also blendable because of the watery texture. I really like them!

Kiko Reckless Spirit Eyeshadow Palette

How beautiful is this palette? This has four very wearable shades that are great for everyday. They are also matte but can be used wet or dry (wet for a more intense pigment). The colours are meant to compliment each other and I found that these are perfect for the office because of the nuetral shades.

Kiko Matte Muse Lipsticks

I LOVE these lipsticks. They are fabulous. They come with an applicator so that you can really define your lips – no lip-liner needed for these. They stay put on the lips but I found you do have to watch this if you are eating or drinking as the colour starts to wear off closer to the inside of your lips so you may need to retouch. The colour is vivid and intense. I’ve got Plushy rose, Entrall Pink and Haughty Mauve below. I must say I love the deep berry colour of the Haughty Mauve the best!

Kiko Moonlight Oil Serum

I had no idea that Kiko did skincare as well until I saw this Moonlight Oil Serum. The serum itself is really lightweight and absorbs into skin easily so it makes a nice base for make-up or moisturiser afterwards. The serum contains detoxifying ingredients and looks like an oil but acts like a serum. Great starter buy if you are just getting into serum!

Kiko Glowing Potion Perfecting Serum

This is a perfecting face serum with hyaluronic acid that helps to brighten skin and moisturise. This acts as both a serum, primer and illuminator for the skin. It works really well under make-up because it absorbs quickly! Absolutely gorgeous packaging as well (which Kiko really knows how to do)!
