Skin needs a bit of extra care in the winter and I find this is the season when I need to treat my skin gently and nicely. This means using a gentle cleanser, hydrating serum and treating my skin once or twice a week to an indulgent mask. I am really loving MONU Skincare these days to treat my ‘winter’ skin. MONU is a natural skincare brand and the great thing about their products is that they are gentle. They also smell amazing which is quite uplifting in the grey of winter! Today you could win the very three items from their skincare range that I am using right now for my skin (worth £77) so be sure to read on!
The MONU Gentle Cleanser is great for winter – it’s super soothing and doesn’t strip the skin of any additional moisture. It smells amazing too with Rose and Geranium essential oils! Using these products also means you get to indulge in some aromatherapy. The texture of the cleanser is a creamy lotion which isn’t drying but still removes make-up gently. I would recommend this for the morning for a soothing start to the day.
Next up is the MONUPLUS Hydra Lift Serum. This is an ultra-hydrating serum that is great for all skin types and on my skin it felt light and cooling and sank into the skin very quickly. It didn’t leave any greasy film behind so great under make-up as well. The Hydra Lift Serum works to smooth fine lines and hydrate which is just what you need in the winter!
Last but not least I like to indulge my skin in the winter with a mask twice a week. This Warming Aromatic Mask from MONU is absolutely lovely! And this is the ultimate winter skin nourisher – its goal is to increase vitamin and mineral absorption. It has a clay base which is good for detoxing the skin and removing impurities (great for acne prone skin). However it is not as drying as some clay masks can be – I really like this one a lot!
