Winter is nearly over! The days are getting longer and now it’s all about getting the glow back that winter stole. Goodbye dry, dull skin and HELLO glow! I’m all over the theme of this month’s Glossybox because I was just thinking of what a great post it would be to write on – i.e. how to get your glow back. So let’s talk it over…
First up are products to get your tresses back in order. My hair feels so dry these days. I blame it on the hard London water and I am in serious need of something to quench my thirsty locks. So I was pleased to see a hair product in this month’s box for that very reason. Although I haven’t heard of 417 before I am keen to try both of these products – the Catharsis Vitamin Mineral Shampoo and Conditioner, both in a handy travel-size. The conditioner should be left on for five minutes so make sure you wash your hair straight away when you get in the shower and leave the conditioner to do its work while you shave your legs, etc.
For the face, there is another new brand which I have not tried before. This one is Hey Honey Good Morning Honey Silk Facial Serum which contains honey and propolis which has great antiseptic and antibacterial properties so I imagine this would be quite good for acne-prone skin. Or perhaps use this during hormonal breakouts if you get them.
There is also a mini Olay Regenerist Luminous Tone Perfecting Cream which targets discolouration. Good to pack in the bag if you are going away for a long weekend!
I am a bit of a brush addict so my favourite item in this month’s box is a Luxie Rose Gold Large Angled Face Brush. The bristles are so soft on this brush and feel like a whisper on your face. Because of the angle, this is perfect for contouring, strobing, etc. and it’s also a very pretty brush indeed! I am really excited to add it to my collection.
Last but not least is the ultimate glow stick – the Collection Speedy Highlighter. This is a super-handy little stick that you can use to highlight with, strobe, etc. This would be a great all-around product to carry in your bag and even use on your eyelids if you need some extra shimmer.
I swatched this on my hand and it blended really well so it looks really natural. I know that you can’t even tell it’s on my hand below but it really is! So for those who don’t like a highlighter that is too shimmery, this is a great choice.
A Glossybox monthly subscription is only £10 and I think it’s totally worth it for any beauty addict!
