Summer is THE season for festivals and when it’s all about getting festival beauty ready. I’ve got some easy products to recommend that are great for both festival prep and also to take with you at the festival. They are affordable and easy to carry as well.

For lipsticks to take to a festival for a serious pop of colour that doesn’t dry lips out is the Soap & Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Lip Shine Lacquers. I am seriously obsessed with these – they are one of the best lip lacquers I’ve ever tried in my life. Every time I wear them in any colour I get so many compliments – they are simply da bomb. They feel moisturising and give a very rich pigmented colour – they also have staying power.
The Lip Shine Lacquers have special veggie esters which leave a soft glass line sheen to the lips and as I said, these are also moisturising with added amino acids and moisturising polysaccharides.

I’ve swatched Riot below which is my favourite colour (on the left hand side). Honestly you cannot go wrong with these and I swear I am not getting paid to say that – a good product indeed.

If you are wanting matte lips for a festival Soap & Glory also have the Sexy Mother Pucker Matte-Lip. I love the shape of the lipstick – it makes it really easy to draw on a sharp lip and you don’t need lip liner. So this is a great product to take to a festival because if you need to apply lipstick and don’t have a mirror, this will at least help you to get the right shape!

Another Soap & Glory product I like in the make-up category is the Thick & Fast Mascara. Honestly I don’t generally spend a lot on mascaras because I think high street brands have just as amazing mascaras as some on the luxury end of the spectrum. This one is good and does what it says on the tin. It is a thickening mascara so great for festival looks.
Soap & Glory have also just had their 10 year anniversary so it’s hard to believe they have been around that long! Time flies when you are having fun and I love the playful spirit that this brand has. Another good product to mention below is the Soap & Glory Heel Genius – this is a foot cream that will make you feel confident enough about revealing your feet in some perfect sandals at a festival. My feet get quite dry in the summer so this is a real saviour.

And of course who doesn’t love The Righteous Butter? If your skin gets dried out by the sun, get it back into shape with this lovely body butter. The scent is really fresh and perfect for festivals with notes of leafy greens, bergamot and mandarin, followed by soft, sexy, musk, oakmoss, amber and woody notes.

And even if you are at a festival, never forget the golden rule of not washing your face before you go to bed – the Soap & Glory Vitamin C Facial Wash is a no-nonsense cleanser that is 3-in-1 and detoxes, polishes and purifies. It rinses really well too – bonus point if you are at a festival.

So you have your body/skincare covered what about make-up? I am LUH-VING the new L’Oreal Nude Magique Cushion Foundation. I am a huge fan of a cushion foundation, having bought my first one in South Korea over a year ago. Cushion foundation gives a really nice light natural look. It’s like applying foundation with a wet sponge which is actually what you are supposed to do so the sponge doesn’t soak up all of your product.

The fact that it gives such a natural look as well is perfect for festivals because if you are outside all day you don’t want to look ‘overdone’ by any means so get this on instead!

For festivals as well it is important to have that ‘glow’ – you know what I mean…the kind of glow that you get after you have had a beach holiday for a week. You want to look bronzed and glowy and with that I present to you THE new L’Oreal Glam Bronze Healthy Glow – this is a stunning little multi-tonal bronzer that you can use as a blusher or a bronzer or both. I love the fact that this is another 2-in-1 product so you can simply use it as you wish and don’t need to pack two products when you have this one!

And last but not least is the new L’Oreal Miss Hippie Mascara. This is a fab Mega Volume mascara that will give you full and voluminous lashes. As I said before I am not one for spending a gazillian on a mascara and I love L’Oreal’s mascara range. This is another good one!

The mascara is also waterproof making it the stuff of festival dreams.

My festival look below was created using the L’Oreal Nude Magique Cushion Foundation, L’Oreal Glam Bronze La Terra to give a slightly sunkissed look and the Miss Hippie mascara.

Another absolute necessity you need to take to a festival is a toothbrush! Toothbrushes have gotten to be a popular thing these days and especially electronic toothbrushes. I LOVE these Sonic Chic toothbrushes. They are portable (perfect for travel) and lightweight. They have a ventilated cap for hygiene purposes so you can keep this in your bag.

I didn’t realise I needed an electrical toothbrush until I tried these and they honestly make my teeth feel cleaner. And they look super cute as well. The toothbrushes have 22K strokes per minute so they definitely are working hard to clean teeth. Each pack also comes with a replacement head as well so you really get some bang for your buck.
For the Sonic Chic URBAN Electric Toothbrush you only need 1 x AAA battery.

However there is also the Sonic Chic Deluxe Electric Toothbrush in Gold which is super luxe and gorgeous (below). These have two speed functions and provide a more intense clean and also the two minute timer indicates when to move to a different section of your mouth. Electronic toothbrushes can be really expensive but these are really very reasonable with the Deluxe Electric Toothbrush in Gold being the most expensive at £22.49 here.

You also charge this via USB which is convenient if you are travelling.

And the deluxe version also comes in Silver.

For the battery powered options with the Sonic Chic brushes there are so many cute designs that you can choose from of which some I have below.
