The October Glossybox: The Discovery Edit has now landed and it’s an exciting collaboration with Estee Lalonde, famed blogger and vlogger! I’ve always really liked Estee because she seems so down-to-earth and friendly. She isn’t super glossed over and when you read her posts it feels like you are talking to a friend. She is your ‘girl next door’ – likeable, friendly and relatable most importantly! Estee has picked out her ‘edit’ for this month’s collaboration with Glossybox and I was pleased to find a couple of favourites and a few new things I have not yet tried! So all about discovery indeed…
So let’s rifle through the box shall we? First up we have something secret – a mysteriously packaged shampoo simply labelled ‘New Beauty Shampoo’. Apparently this one is a shampoo that Estee loves and a bestselling classic however the brand has had an update. I’m really excited to try it out and then Estee will be revealing all in a big brand reveal on her blog later in the month. I’m actually really keen to see what it is.
Next up we have a Bee Good Honey & Camelina Facial Exfoliator. I love a good exfoliator and like natural ones at that so this month I will consider myself lucky that this landed in my hands. Exfoliating helps keep my skin clear and smooth and I do it at night as well once I’ve removed my make-up. It’s also nice to know that Bee Good is an environmentally friendly brand who also happen to be British!
For the face there is also a P.S. Pro Finishing Powder. Now if you haven’t heard please read my full review on Primark’s new P.S. Pro collection HERE. In the meantime, this powder is actually quite good, reminds me of an HD finishing powder because it’s so fine. I’ve always preferred a loose powder as opposed to compact powder (it’s the oily skin) and if you have oily skin this powder will be great for you! And it’s only a fiver if you want to restock after this one runs out.
I can’t resist a lipstick and was pleased to see a Lip Parfait Buttery Lip Cream from Trifle Cosmetics in the October Glossybox. I haven’t tried anything from Trifle Cosmetics before. The packaging is really cute and fun and I’m looking forward to seeing how the lipstick performs. My lips tend to get quite dry so glad this is a moisturising lipstick as opposed to a matte one which tends to be more drying.
You can’t go wrong with Rituals who have included The Ritual of Sakura Body Cream in the box. It’s whipped, rich velvety – ticks all the boxes and great for this colder weather when skin starts to get dryer and dryer.
Last but not least is the Universal Beauty Cosmetics Secret Flush which is a Soothing Cream Blusher and Lip Stain. I love a multi-tasking product which I like to take on travels or keep in my handbag and this is one of them. A great addition to the handbag (hey I don’t have a blusher in there yet!) and gives a lovely rosy look which will most certainly help when I start to look like the White Witch from lack of sunlight come wintertime.
Well, that’s all folks! Have you tried this month’s Glossybox? If so what did you think of it?
