I love Italy – it remains one of my favourite travel destinations and there are so many places to discover. One of those places on my travel bucket list that I’ve never visited before is Tuscany. I still remember the movie ‘Under The Tuscan Sun’ and dreaming about someday visiting the region known for its foodie and wine scene.
The part of that movie that I really loved is that the main character actually moved into an old Italian villa and adapted to the life of the locals. I think part of the charm of travelling is living like a local – you can pretend to be anyone, anywhere even if just for a few days! As I am making goals for 2017 one of those goals is Italy and with that Tuscany!
There are so many things that you can do in Tuscany from seeing world-famous art from Leonardo da Vinci and Michelangelo to going on wine tours in Brunello, Montepulciano, Vernaccia di San Gimignano and Chianti. The one thing that I would really love to do is take a cooking lesson to learn some delicious Tuscan recipes.
If you are wanting to rent a villa, Lancisi Real Estate (Immobiliare Lancisi in Italian) is a real estate agency located in Sansepolcro (in Tuscany, Italy) that offers villas, country houses and prestigious properties in Tuscany. There are 14-16 properties, located between Tuscany and Umbria, some with special landscape situations, some with pool or vineyards or land, others characterised by the historical value of the estate or artistic and historical details, such as paintings or valuable ceilings , marble work of minor artists etc.
Living in an Italian villa for a holiday sounds like a dream – you can rent a car to explore the region and you have a kitchen to cook in so all those Tuscan cooking lessons can be put to good use! I’ve got a travel bucket list and Tuscany is one of those regions that I’ve always wanted to visit for the food and wine.
The property I’ve picked out that I would love to stay at is this cottage outskirts of Sansepolcro which is a gorgeous estate located in green hills which consist of two apartments. The villa also has a large garden with a swimming pool and a tennis court – how could you go wrong? The best part of this property however has to be a huge olive grove which is gorgeous! Imagine taking a digital detox and wandering around here for a few days? Let’s just say here’s to the bucket list in 2017!
