My ASOS Beauty and Make-Up Haul!

Who doesn’t love an ASOS haul? I’m pretty sure it’s one of the most popular YouTube videos – that’s for sure. Well, today I want to talk about my ASOS haul – my ASOS beauty and make-up haul that is! ASOS Beauty have some pretty damn cool brands on their site – some that are actually kind of difficult to find as well! I was so thrilled to be able to get some items from ASOS beauty as I had never shopped for beauty before on their site. And I was really happy to discover some gems there (including the amazing Lulu Guiness make-up bag below!). Insert lips and red heart emojis please.

First up in my massive make-up haul? Lime Crime! This cult beauty brand is sometimes tricky to find and I had been wanting to get my hands on it forever. ASOS Beauty has several colours of the Velvetines range which is a velvety liquid matte lip colour. I feel like Lime Crime is for girls who really love lipstick and they aren’t afraid to go BIG and BOLD. Take Black Velvet below. This couldn’t get any more goth if you wanted. I would so whip this out for special occasions like London Fashion Week or even Halloween. This is pure black goth heaven.

The Lime Crime ‘Fetish’ below is like a plum colour – really great for everyday but still super bold and ‘out there’. I would wear this on a night out with friends. The only thing that I noticed with this lipstick is that you do have to reapply it if you are eating or drinking – otherwise it’s pretty good in regards to staying power.

And then you can’t go wrong with liquid matte lipstick in red. I love the Lime Crime Red Velvet colour below. It’s the perfect, classic red – great for everyday. Just imagine wearing it to a meeting – it’s the perfect power lip.

I’ve swatched all three colours below so you can see how matte they really are and what the texture and consistency are like. Great staying power overall but you do need to reapply if you are eating or drinking! Trust me – I put ‘Fetish’ through an 11 course dinner!

My beauty haul continues with another cool brand I love, especially for their brushes which is Japonesque. They make amazing brushes and very well-thought out too. These don’t just look good but also perform well to and are a very MUA type of brush.

How cool is the Japonesque Color Collection below? I think the design is a little bit different with the watercolour swirls on glass – really very pretty to look at! I’ve got below (from top to bottom) the Japonesque Color Collection Face Brush, the Foundation Brush and the Shadow Fluff Brush. The bristles are really soft and feel nice against the skin.

I’ve also got some more high-performance brushes from Japonesque below as well. The Complexion Trio Brush Set  has a stippling brush, an angled contouring brush and an eyeshadow brush. I am telling you that a good eyeshadow brush is a game-changer. It can make cheap eyeshadow look expensive. I think investing in a good set of brushes really changed my make-up game and made my make-up work harder for me.

A brand that I WAS SO EXCITED to find on ASOS was Anna Sui! Honestly I’ve been looking all over for this brand in the UK for ages. When I go to South Korea, Japan or the US, this brand is so popular and I often stock up while I’m abroad. So lo and behold I was amazed to find it on ASOS Beauty.

What first caught me about the Anna Sui brand was the packaging. Total goth girl but pretty which I really liked. The packaging is certainly striking and very, very feminine. It’s a brand that is very popular in Asia and that’s where I first discovered it. One item that I’ve picked up on ASOS was the Anna Sui Illuminating Beauty Balm. I like this balm because it can actually be used as either a base or alone. It’s very lightweight so it’s great for the weekend – that’s the time I usually grab it. It does have SPF 30 in it as well so it’s best to pat it on so it doesn’t ball up.

The balm contains just a hint of glow to illuminate the skin which also makes it great to use as a base if you want that extra glow!

Another exciting item from Anna Sui are her mascaras! I mean just LOOK at this one in all its perfection. Just using it makes me feel pretty:)

Another brand that I was really keen to try on ASOS Beauty was  Nude By Nature. I’ve been hearing great things about this all-natural Aussie beauty brand so really wanted to see what it was all about!

The first thing that strikes me about Nude by Nature is the rose gold EVERYTHING! I mean it looks absolutely gorgeous so I was keen to test to see if it performed as good as it looked.

First up is what I like to think of as a glow stick. More like a Glow Highlighter Stick. This is a great and easy way to add a touch of ‘gold’ to your everyday look. I dotted a bit on the tops of my cheekbones and under my brows for an instant lift. The texture is quite creamy so I would apply before using powder.

Next I tried the Nude by Nature Natural Glow Loose Bronzer in ‘Bondi’. This is a nice powder that you can use just to lightly dust across the cheekbones for a ‘healthy’ tanned look. The winters are hard in London, let’s be honest. And if you can’t afford a trip to Bondi Beach then the next best thing is to just fake it.

And last but not least because these are probably my favourite products from this whole beauty haul – is the Nude By Nature Loose Eyeshadow. These eyeshadows are super pigmented and have amazing colour payoff. All in all, I was super impressed. The shimmer and metallic sheen of these are killer and I would highly recommend them. The fact that they contain minerals and no toxic ingredients make them even better!

My swatch below I have to say doesn’t do these gorgeous shimmering eyeshadow enough justice – they are even more shimmery in real life and I love that they come with an applicator as well so it makes them really easy to apply and also keep in your bag if you need to touch up on the go.

I hope you enjoyed my huge make-up haul from ASOS!
