Unboxing: Glossybox Prep To Perfect Box

Beauty boxes are always a surprise because you are never sure what you are going to get but that’s the fun of it! This month’s Glossybox Prep to Perfect theme is all about the idea that you need to prep the skin in order to perfect it. This all starts with your skin of course. Make-up, as great as it is, just will not look good on skin that is not looking great. You need to work on the canvas before you start painting over it! So what’s inside the box? Well let’s find out:)

First up there is the Sleek Eye & Cheek Palette. I’ve been super impressed with Sleek products in the past – they are actually one of my favourite high street make-up brands. The products are of great quality and the pigment and texture are always really nice. This palette is a multi-tasking one – it’s for both cheeks and eyes and has four eyeshadows and two cheek colours so it’s one of those mini palettes that packs a punch. I think this would be a great on-the-go palette to use when touching up on the move because it covers two very important areas of the face!

I am one of those people that actually cannot get by without a hand cream in my bag at all time and I love the Crabtree & Evelyn Hand Therapy creams – they are honestly the best. I’ve tried all of them and this Somerset Meadow Hand Therapy in this month’s Glossybox is like summer in a tube – it is certainly calling out to warmer days! The formula is super hydrating as well without being greasy. Perfect for all-year round moisturisation!

If you are travelling anytime soon you will be happy that the This Works In Transit Camera Close-Up Primer has been included in this selection. I’ve tried this before and yes, I used it while travelling. It acts as a moisturiser, primer, mask, balm – whatever you prefer! What it does best is plump and perfect the skin – great if you are meeting someone right off the plane. The reason I like using this while flying is that flying actually sucks the life out of my skin. With this little hero, it really helps bring that plumpness back into the skin.

You can’t go wrong with a hair treatment. This Schwarzkopf Professional BC Bonacure Miracle Brazil Nut Oil Pulp Treatment (whew that was a long title!) is a hair mask that you can use twice a week. I’m a big fan of hair masks and can’t wait to try this one. I usually use them on the night before a ‘hair wash’ day so I like to let it soak into my hair overnight. I also sometimes actually leave hair masks in if I just apply them to the ends of towel-dried hair.

And last but not least are the eyes. The eyes are the first place to show ANYTHING – and by anything I mean tiredness, age, etc. I fret a lot over the eye area. I think it’s very important to take care of it and I’m keen to try out the oOlution Eye Love which is an eye cream chock full of actives and also 100% natural. It’s meant to target dark circles (hello!) and puffiness which a lot of us have, let’s be serious.

If you’ve never tried a Glossybox they are really great – think of them as monthly surprises. You are never quite sure what you will get but it’s most likely you won’t be disappointed! And at £10 per box you can hardly lose!
