Best Lipsticks Worth Spending Your Payday Cash On – Beauty Rocks

Sometimes it’s hard to know what’s good and what to spend your hard-earned cash on when you want a beauty treat. I’m a sucker for a good lipstick and love all sorts of shades, textures and types. And trust me when I said I’ve tried and tested a lot so know what’s good and what’s not. Here are some of the best lipsticks worth spending your payday cash on…

Best Lipsticks Worth Spending Your Payday Cash On

Lancome L’ Absolu Velvet Matte (Avec Style), L’Absolu Gloss (Rosy Plump) and L’Absolu Gloss Cream (Caprice)

Lancôme do not get it wrong with their lipstick products. Every time I think they have outdone themselves and then they go and do it again. My new favourite lip colour for this season and in a colour that I’ve really been looking for is the L’Absolu Velvet Matte in Avec Style. This is a bright punchy pop of coral pink that automatically brightens up the whole face. If I could write a love letter to this lipstick and to this shade, I would. It’s lightweight but matte with a creamy texture that feels moisturising. The pigment is fabulous and this has all the features of a matte lipstick without any of the pain. In fact, now I can’t wait to get my hands on the other colours within the L’ Absolu Velvet Matte range.

In addition Lancôme have launched L’Absolu Gloss (I have the shade Rosy Plump) and L’Absolu Gloss Cream (I have the shade Caprice). I’m in love with all of them. They are simply stunning and if Lancôme continue on this winning streak of lipsticks I will surely go broke.

Giorgio Armani Lip Magnet – Insomnia

I am a sucker for Armani lipsticks as you can see from some of my previous posts. They really don’t get it wrong and for the colder season I like to go for darker, edgier shades like the new Insomnia shade. The formula goes on like second skin, just like the foundations and you barely notice it’s there. Those are the best kinds of lipsticks – the ones that look fabulous but that don’t feel cakey or heavy on the lips.

Marc Jacobs Enamored Lip Lacquer in Want Me?

If you read my blog you will know that I love Marc Jacobs Beauty – the quality is excellent and while the products are not cheap I also don’t think they are super-expensive and you get more than what you pay for with these products – they are top quality. The Enamored Lip Lacquer in Want Me? is no different – it’s a super slick lip gloss that coats the lips in an unbelievable lacquered shine. I like the baby pink meets lilac shade of Want Me? as well – it takes me back to my younger years and one slick of this instantly takes a couple of years off!

A La Carte Cosmetics Lipstick

I am a girl who can never have too many lipsticks! They are just the one make-up product I simply can’t live without – my desert island beauty product for life. The A La Carte Cosmetics brand makes a super creamy and conditioning Lipstick that I really love and it’s perfect for the winter months as it won’t dry your lips out. There are so many shades to choose from as well so you cannot go wrong!

Paul & Joe Lipstick N’ Rouge – Color 306

For me, Paul & Joe Lipstick always win for prettiest packaging and prettiest lipstick – they are just stunning to look at. I almost hate to use them they are just so pretty. But I never regret it when the first swipe goes across the lips – the coverage is fabulous and the formula is creamy and comfortable on the lips. I love the shades that Paul & Joe carry as well and you cannot beat the fun-loving packaging. Certainly deserving of a spot on your vanity table.
