New and Noteworthy: My November Beauty Favourites
Skin 79 BB Super + Beblesh Balm
At the very TOP of the October beauty favourites list is the newest love in my life which comes in the form of the Skin 79 BB Super + Beblesh Balm. This is BB cream from South Korean and the Koreans do the best BB creams. Trust me, I’ve been there on five separate trips and on each trip scooped up ALL the BB creams. I recently came across a mini sample of this in a Lookfantastic beauty box and then just had to get my hands on the full size. It makes skin look super dewy, totally natural and bright as well. I have been using this every day since I got it and it’s my new favourite everyday BB cream. It also not only covers but protects with SPF 30 and also contains Damask Rose Flower Water and a brightening complex. The only thing is that this literally comes in only one shade which surprisingly perfectly blends in with my own skin tone and I believe that the pigment does colour adapt. But it is perfect for my tone and the formulation is one of the best ones I’ve ever tried.
Tropic Skincare Sun Drops
A tan in a bottle? Yes that’s right and not for your body either but for your face! This is a gradual tan serum for the face that is amazing for giving you that extra glow. Off on a holiday but have that dreaded pasty winter look? Well, then this is your guy. The Tropic Skinare Sun Drops contain plant allo-melanin which mimics the colour of your own skin – how clever is that? So basically that means you can build your colour up whether that’s just a hint of a glow or a full sun-kissed goddess – it’s totally up to you. You can mix this in with your favourite moisturizer to give a natural glow.
Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb Candle
I’m obsessed with candles and I always love the ambience they bring to a room – they are calming and create a beautiful scent at the same time so what’s not to love? I have the Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb fragrance which I love so was delighted to see that they had made the same scent in candle form. I mean who wouldn’t want their room to be filled with the scent of jasmine, rose, freesia, orchids and patchouli? This is a floral, heady scent but it definitely sets the mood. Use it on the weekends when you feel like a treat!
Filorga Oxygen Peel Re-Oxygenating Micro-Peeling Lotion
I’m a big fan of Filorga and have spoken about the brand previously several times before. I love the fact that they make products for the modern person in mind – the one who’s stressed, lives in a big city and might not have the perfectly healthy lifestyle. For those trying to do it all and hope that it doesn’t reflect in the look of their skin, comes the Filorga Oxygen Peel Re-Oxygenating Micro-Peeling Lotion. Use this in place of your toner to combat wrinkles, fine lines, pores and dullness. All you have to do is apply to freshly-cleansed skin with a cotton pad – it’s easy! The formula gently exfoliates the skin and targets lines and pores. It also contains hyaluronic acid to add a bit of a moisture boost (you can never have enough really can you?). It does all this while bio-active oxygen sensors promote cell oxygenation for revived skin. And who doesn’t want that?
Too Faced Hangover 3-In-1 Replenishing Primer + Setting Spray
I love a facial mist so was thrilled to learn that Too Faced have launched a 3-In-1 spray which acts as a primer, a setter and a refresher all in one. The spritz is really refreshing and I have to say that I tried it as all three ways and I think my favourite is either as a primer or as a refresher. When I hit that 3 o’clock slump in the afternoon every day I always reach for a facial spritz because it really feels so refreshing and uplifting. This one has coconut water so it’s really hydrating to the skin. Keep it deskside at all times!
Pixi Glow Tonic To-Go
My skin loves glycolic acid and thanks me for using it with a brighter, more even-toned complexion. If you haven’t tried Pixi Glow Tonic then where have you been hiding? This is a toning treatment that also provides exfoliating action in the form of glycolic acid, aloe vera and ginseng. And now it’s available in a to-go format with pre-soaked pads. I will definitely be packing this with me on my next adventure away!
Giorgio Armani Eye Tint – Minuit
I love a gorgeous eyeshadow and when the season changes to autumn/winter I tend to go for deeper shades. The Giorgio Armani Eye Tint in Minuit is an absolutely stunning shade of navy blue and the formula again is long-lasting with up to 16 hours of wear. This is such an interesting texture with a feel of a cream but with the long-lasting staying power of an ink. This looks amazing lightly applied onto the lid of the eye for a washed out denim blue look or as a liner around the eyes for that smoky-eye look.
Marc Jacobs Enamored Hi-Shine Nail Lacquer in Ladies Night and Trax
Marc Jacobs knows how to do shine and with these Enamored Hi-Shine Nail Lacquers in Ladies Night and Trax he has certainly done it again. If you like a glossy, wet gel look then these are definitely for you and I am in love with these colours as well – so perfect for fall!
Optibac Probiotics
I’ve always had issues with bloating and sometimes I literally look at myself and it looks like I’m about 3 months pregnant! So needless to say when I got these Optibac Probiotics I started taking them instantly and within a few days I kid you not my bloating was under control and my stomach was flat! Gut health is super important and I will be talking a lot about it in an upcoming post as I’ve recently been away in Ibiza on a wellness trip learning all about it! With Optibac you simply mix a sachet (which contains live cultures) in with water (it doesn’t taste of anything) and take it with your breakfast or with a meal. You can use them for 7 days straight as a course or keep taking them. I tried them for 7 days, was super impressed and then stopped taking them and the bloating came back so I’m on them again! If you do suffer from bloating then honestly, I would so highly recommend these.
La Roche Posay Toleriane Ultra Overnight Intense Soothing Care Face & Eyes
When my skin feels overstimulated, irritated and just angry and stressed in general I like to calm it down with the skincare and I usually turn to La Roche-Posay for their sensitive skin formulas. Now I don’t have sensitive skin but when my skin reacts to something I take everything down a level and go back to basics. The La Roche-Posay Toleriane Ultra Overnight is a lovely, soothing moisturizer for sensitive skin or skin that has just had a little too much of the tonic.
Kiehl’s Cucumber Herbal Conditioning Cleanser
Sometimes my skin just needs to go back to basics and have a bit of TLC. I love Kiehl’s Herbal Conditioning Cleanser because it’s super gentle but still removes all the dirt and grime from the day. This is a great cleanser for sensitive skin because it’s soap free and it’s also safe to use around the eye area (no more tears!). A fabulous cleanser for travelling as well when skin gets a bit sensitive.
Tweezerman Complexion Cleansing Brush
If you are looking for a cleansing brush but don’t want to spend a lot of money then I would highly recommend the Tweezerman Complexion Cleansing Brush. This is a manual cleansing brush that’s super easy to use and gives you a deep clean. The bristles are ultra-soft so they don’t irritate the skin and not only deep cleanse but also exfoliates as well. And how could you go wrong with that?
