Christmas is the best time to stock up on beauty with all the Black Friday, Cyber Monday and after-Christmas sales. And skin needs a bit more TLC during the colder months so it’s important not to neglect it! I’ve got some fab new beauty discoveries that I’ve found recently that are perfect for the winter months from cleansers to oils to luxury fragrances! Read on for the best Christmas beauty buys in my world…
For the sophisticated friend or woman in your life, the Lancôme La Vie Est Belle Eau de Parfum is one to delight. The bottle is super feminine and deserves a real estate spot on any vanity table. It’s a stunner of a fragrance as well with pear, bergamot, pink pepper, blackcurrant on the top, jasmine, tuberose and orange flower at the heart and the base rounding out with tonka, patchouli and iris. It’s a heady fragrance and one not to be forgotten, a signature scent for the elegant girl that will take her from day to night all year long.
People often skimp on cleansing but actually it’s probably the most important step in your skincare routine. Using a cleanser that is too harsh or using a cleanser that is so gentle it doesn’t really remove what it needs to spells trouble for your skin. So, I take cleansing very seriously and I believe that a good cleanser will do wonders for your skin! The Marula Foaming Cleansing Oil feels luxurious and gentle but also does what it needs to do – such as actually cleansing your skin. It’s an oil/gel hybrid that transforms to a foam so it’s brilliant for taking off your make-up at the end of a long day. Bliss.
I love Pixi and so it was only natural that I would recommend one of their fab eyeshadow palettes for a Christmas gift. In this case it’s the Pixi Lid Lovelies palette which comes with 18 different shades of neutral and bright colours so no matter what, there will be shades that your recipient will love! I also like that the formula is a mineral formula so the pigment is really good. A fabulous gift for a make-up magpie.
I was recently introduced to the Marula Oil brand over a lovely dinner at Bronte in London and I think the Marula Oil is absolutely lovely. It is an anti-ageing oil that is suitable for all skin types and feels luxe and lovely on the skin. Again, gifting a beauty product is so nice for Christmas because sometimes people don’t treat themselves. And a luxe oil will always be appreciated no matter what! The Marula Oil is great to apply in the evening or you can apply a few drops to your moisturiser for an added boost. The oil contains a high amount of fatty acids which nourish the skin – a gift that certainly won’t be forgotten.
I love putting beauty treats in my gift guides because I do think that we don’t treat ourselves enough sometimes and Christmas is the perfect opportunity to spoil a friend or a loved one. This Gatineau Melatogenine Youth Activating Beauty Serum is a great gift for a friend who loves skincare because the Gatineau brand has been around for a long time and have been the first to create a lot of beauty must-haves such as micellar water. This Youth Activating beauty serum uses probiotics to moisturize and protect the skin and it’s a great gift to give in winter, when the skin suffers from the cold!
Decleor have such a lovely range of products and a limited edition one they have recently brought out is the Limited Edition Be Radiant Micellar Oil. This feels divine on the skin and is one of those products that you think, do I really want to give this to someone else? The answer is NO. Keep this one for yourself this Christmas. The sweet almond oil formula feels and smells amazing.
