These days I find it’s harder and harder to find people a really standout gift. Often, I find myself racking my brain to think of something unique and personal to get someone for their birthday or for Christmas which by the way, is just around the corner. Yikes. In other words, time to start thinking. I’ve been thinking about the perfect gift for Christmas as both a giver and a receiver. I want to give the perfect gift for Christmas but I also want to receive the perfect gift at Christmas. I mean, who doesn’t?
In the blogging world I’ve been really fortunate to make some amazing friendships. Blogging can be one of those professions where you often feel quite isolated. Yes, you are constantly on social media, etc. but this is no substitute for real friendships in real life. When I think about it now, most of my friends are also bloggers, YouTubers or Instagrammers. It’s so nice to connect with other people that are doing what you are doing – they just get it you know? I mean I can’t talk to my university friends about blogging because they just don’t get it.
So, for my blogging friends comes the question of what do I get them for Christmas? I mean it’s hard to get bloggers something for Christmas that is really special and standout because working in the industry that we do, we are so lucky to be able to work with brands that allow us to receive amazing products we love and treasure. So therefore, we turn into the hardest people to get gifts for!
Therefore, I was absolutely delighted when my babe of a blogger pal Daniel Marin surprised me with a gift from Button & Wilde as an early Christmas present. I can certainly say that he put a lot of thought into the gift and I’ve never received anything like it! So, what do you get a beauty blogger who has it all?
Well, beauty products that are personalised of course! Daniel was really clever actually because he knows I LOVE beauty and I’m a big of magpie when it comes to lotions and potions – I really can’t get enough! So what Daniel did is ordered me a personalised set of my very own Beauty Rocks branded beauty products – with my face and name on them OF COURSE. How clever is that?
And where did he get these amazing personalised beauty treats? From a site called Button & Wilde. Button & Wilde make a wide range of personalised bath and body gifts that are super fun and also make it very easy to get a gift for someone who is quite hard to buy for (ME). This also means, yes you can have your face on your shower gel!
Daniel personalised a Button & Wilde Wild Citrus Rose Body Scrub, Body Lotion and Shower Gel set for me that are branded with different pictures that I posted on Instagram from my last trip to the Caribbean – an amazing trip that I will cherish forever.
And just looking at those photos on the outside of products that I’m now using everyday makes me smile. And that’s really priceless isn’t it?
I’ve already started using the products and the Button & Wilde Wild Citrus Rose Body Scrub is amazing for winter as it gently exfoliates away dry skin. I love raw sugar scrubs as well and this one is really unique because it contains both raw sugar and salt, combined with sweet almond oil (my fave) and extra nourishing shea butter. My skin has already started to become dry from the winter settling in and this body scrub is a real treat for someone for Christmas!
The next product that Daniel personalised for me was a Button & Wilde Wild Citrus Rose Body Wash. To be honest he covered EVERYTHING with the shower gel, scrub and body lotion set – goodbye dry winter skin is all I have to say! The scent is really uplifting and fresh as well – perfect for those dreary winter mornings.
The Button & Wilde Wild Citrus Rose Body Lotion is also really nice – it sinks in really quickly and didn’t leave a greasy feel on my skin. All in all, this is a fabulous, fun and unique gift set for the person who is really hard to buy for at Christmas!
