If you want a really unique gift this year for Christmas then I would definitely recommend a DNA test. Everyone wants to know about what makes them unique – right? The Atlas Biomed DNA test is pretty simple to take – you simply have to send a saliva sample in a test tube and then send it off the lab. From there it’s analyzed and a few weeks later you get your results back. You can discover your carrier statues for certain hereditary conditions (I was so happy to discover I didn’t have any!) and you can also find out how your DNA affects your nutrition and food intolerance. From my DNA test I learned I need to get more Vitamin B5 and the results also included a list of foods that I should eat to get those nutrients. The test also goes into ancestry and tells you paternal and maternal haplogroups based on 200 populations. I was super surprised to discover some tribes from South East Asia for me! Mind you this is thousands and thousands of years ago.

It also gives you some tips on how to make workouts more effective and my recommendations rang very true with tips to focus on strength training and endurance training where I excel.

There is also advice on lifestyle changes to make – one of mine was to drink less. I’m by no means an alcoholic but I do drink occasionally and it did say I should limit alcohol which I’ve been doing. Since I’ve taken the test I’ve had not one sip of alcohol!

I love the new Elemis candles because they all have aromatherapy benefits and this one is specifically to calm the mind. So, for the stressed-out friend, this candle would be a godsend. There is something about a candle flickering in the room that makes everything a little bit more peaceful and calm. An absolute stunner of a Christmas present for the girl who needs some zen. Along with the Atlas Biomed DNA test there is also the Atlas Biomed Microbiome test which again makes a fabulous gift for Christmas. There is a huge focus now on gut health and I’ve written a post about it HERE. I actually always ask for supplements at Christmas because they tend to be pricey and I like to get quality ones that I know are made well.
