In my shower resides a whole slew of beauty products – it’s almost like another beauty cupboard for me! I’ve put together some of my favourite shower power products that I’ve been using so far from shower gels to in-shower body moisturisers to shampoos. Read on!
Yope is a Polish brand that I discovered last year and was pleasantly surprised due to the fact that the products are over 90% natural and also the price point is very reasonable. They’ve just launched a new Linden range which smells like a field of wildflowers with linseed, marigold and chamomile. It’s an interesting and fresh scent and perfect for warmer weather days. It also contains essential oils that fill up the whole bathroom with a lovely smell!
I’ve been getting super lazy about moisturising my body after showering so when this little hero fell into my hands I was thrilled. This is an in-shower moisturiser so you can use it whilst in the shower as your last step when you are finished with your shower. All you have to do is apply it to wet skin and do not rinse off. Then you towel off as normal. This one has a new fresh scent as well which is green lemon and orange blossom and smells lovely. This is a perfect moisturiser in the warmer months because 1. You aren’t as freezing when you get out of the shower and 2. You can use a lighter moisturiser during these months.
There is no point in spending lots of money at a salon if you don’t take care of your colour afterwards. Colour can fade quickly if you don’t use the right products and buying products in the salon can be expensive for post-colour maintenance. Syoss Salon Protect Anti-Fade Shampoo and Conditioner landed on my beauty desk this week and come in big 500ml bottles that are going to last you for ages. The products seal in colour pigments and preserve with fade-protection lasting to 10 weeks after your colour treatment. The products also focus on shine and shiny, just-left-the-salon hair is what we want after all, right?
Everything I knew about shampooing my hair has had to be relearned after trying Monat. I am really loving the Monat products and interestingly enough there is a unique method to washing your hair with Monat products. You first apply the shampoo to wet hair, massage in and the LEAVE on for 2-3 minutes. You then rinse and repeat again. I never thought to leave my shampoo on for that long but I’ve been really quite pleased with the results – my hair has been super shiny and soft. The Monat Revive Shampoo contains a blend of 13+ Natural Plant and Essential Oils which have natural omega fatty acids, antioxidants and nutrients for the hair. The shampoo contains pea extract which helps protect against UV damage and environmental aggressors and an emollient blend that helps to strengthen and thicken the hair.
I like the Monat Revitalize Conditioner because it is lightweight but also makes my hair soft and super shiny. Like the shampoo, it contains 13+ Natural Plant and Essential Oils to help nourish the hair. It also protects against UV rays and protects the scalp. I’ve been really impressed overall with the Monat hair products and am really enjoying using them!
If you have dry ends or split ends one of the best split end remedies I can think of is the Monat Rejuvabeads Split End Mender. All you have to do is after towel drying clean hair, apply one to two pumps of the Rejuvabeads from the mid-lengths of your hair to the ends and work it through. Wait one minute before styling to let it sink in. Again, this is a great product for summer because hair tends to get dryer after being exposed to strong sunlight. I know my ends get really dry and prone to split ends in the warmer months. And this product doesn’t make your hair feel greasy either so it’s great for fine hair too!
