Did you know I used to live in Melbourne? And last year I had my own range of beauty boxes, one of which was all about Australian beauty? I’m no stranger to Aussie brands and a lot of them have popped up recently on my beauty desk so I thought I would devote a whole post to the best Australian beauty brands. Read on for my favourites!
I’ve seen so many pictures of Bali Body this summer and just had to get my hands on a bottle myself. And when I heard the word PINEAPPLE I was pretty much sold! This is a pineapple sun-tanning oil that smells absolutely incredible. I actually feel like this is a beach holiday in a bottle, so I like to use on days when I need a bit of a mood boost or am needing some holiday inspiration when planning a trip. It really does take you there to the sunny beach with pineapple extract and coconut oil. It not only gives the skin a glow but also helps repair uneven skin tone and firms it up too. What’s not to love?
Sand & Sky Australian Pink Clay Porefining Face Mask
This is a brand I’ve seen ALL over Instagram and when I say ALL OVER I mean ALLLL OVEEERRR. So, I have to admit I gave a little squeal when it finally landed on my beauty desk. People on Instagram swear by this mask to give them instant results – i.e. smoother skin in a flash and brighter-looking complexion. I tried it out for myself and I have to say that in 10 minutes I was impressed – the mask does brighten and smooth the skin and leaves it softer-looking as well. I like that the colour of the mask isn’t dark either, so it doesn’t leave a stain behind! This is a great mask to use before an event or going out for the day.
Models Own Highlighter Sculpt & Glow Powder
Models Own is another Aussie beauty brand that I really love, and the Models Own Sculpt & Glow Highlighter Powder is absolutely stunning. It’s a soft, velvety powder that just melds onto the skin for a beautiful glow – just brush it onto the cheekbones, browbones and jawline for a lovely, illuminated glow.
Sand & Sky Australian Pink Clay Flash Perfection Exfoliating Treatment
Since I tried the Sand & Sky Australian Pink Clay Porefining Face Mask I HAD to try the Sand & Sky Pink Clay Flash Perfection Exfoliating Treatment. I’m a big fan of exfoliation – I try to do it deeply twice a week at least. Because if you exfoliate your skin looks brighter and fresher and your skincare products absorb more effectively. I love that this exfoliation treatment again uses the hero ingredient of Australian pink clay which helps clean pores but also has fruit acids to help exfoliate. If you are a fan of the Sand & Sky brand already this is one to try!
Dr. Roebucks Tama Healing Mask
Dr. Roebucks is an Aussie beauty brand that I discovered in the UK once I left Australia. I love that the brand has recently updated their packaging as well to match just how amazing the products really are. I did an Instagram takeover for their channel earlier this year and have been a fan of the brand for months now. The Dr. Roebuck’s Tama Healing Mask is inspired by Tamara Beach (the colour even matches the beach) and it’s a nice weekend mask to use to refresh tired skin. It contains Avocado Oil and Manuka Honey to help hydrate and heal.
Dr. Roebucks Ultimate Hydrating Serum
This is a product I’m a big fan of and I’ve already emptied this as we speak and used the very last drop. This is a lovely hydrating serum that just helps dehydrated skin to keep it plumped up and moisturised with our favourite ingredient of Hyaluronic Acid as well as Aloe Vera and CoQ10. It’s a fab everyday serum that causes no irritation and is a great all-rounder for anytime of the year when your skin needs a good bit of hydration.
Model’s Own Sculpt & Glow Liquid Highlighter
You can’t go wrong with a liquid highlighter and they are all the rage at the moment – another product we see all over Instagram. I like that you can use the Models Own Sculpt & Glow Liquid Highlighter as either a primer to help illuminate the skin or put it on top of foundation for a bit of extra glow. Or you can be super extra and do both – life’s too short not to glow right?
