If you can tell by my recent posts, I can’t wait for spring! And as it’s here already (technically) I am all about wearing white jeans! As we all may or may not know, the rule for wearing white jeans is that it is okay as long as it is spring/summer. In the U.S. the rule is that you shouldn’t wear white jeans after Labor Day, which is celebrated in September. Whether you want to follow the white jeans rule or not, there is still plenty of time to rock them!
So what to pair with them? I love this striped midriff top from Monki. It’s comfy and I like the Skandi style – it’s also simple, stylish and will last from season to season. Monki has also recently redesigned their entire store in Carnaby Street – it’s fun and hip, just like the clothes!
If the black and white monochrome looks get to be too much – simply add in a pop of colour! I ❤ this Knomo London Mini Leather Knomad Bag. This bag not only looks good but it’s smart too – trust me. This is a portable organiser clutch. It is just big enough for your iPad mini, smartphone, pen, credit card, passport, etc. And guess what else it has? If you open it up…you will find a slim battery pack that charges your iPhone on the go. I don’t know about you but I’ve often been left battery-less in times that I would rather not be. This little clutch will save you, your phone, your sanity and your outfit.
For accessories, I am absolutely loving this necklace from Wolf & Moon. This is a handcrafted piece by British artist and jewellery designer Hannah Davis. All materials are from the UK, made from a studio in Hackney and inspiration for the piece came from a recent trip to Norway. I can appreciate anything where the inspiration came from travel. Some of my best life ideas and lightbulb moments come to me when I travel.
The simplicity of this necklace is very Scandinavian-influenced and the shiny perspex really catches the light and the eye! At the moment Wolf & Moon pieces can be bought from their website or from their pop-up in Shoreditch (but only for the Easter weekend). The pieces are really affordable and it’s nice to know that you are supporting British art!
And the white jeans? I haven’t forgotten them. Mine are from Superdry and I love the zips at the bottom – just an extra feature to fall for.
Another classic to invest is is some good ol’ Converse sneakers. They go with everything. My white leather ones are from Office and I chose the leather version as they were easier to keep clean. And keeping white shoes clean is sometimes a hard thing to do in the city!
