#OOTD: White Stuff

Today we are going to talk about White Stuff! After attending their AW15 press day and seeing some amazing wool coats, trendy shoes, cute printed dresses and cosy sweater scarves I had to ask myself why I hadn’t looked deeper into this brand previously. They caught me and I was intrigued needless to say!

Where I really think White Stuff shines (and remember fashion is personal) is in their kaftans and tunics range as well as their shoe collection. The tunics and kaftans have some of the cutest prints and they all beg you to take them away on holiday with you. Pretty please?

Their shoe range is also really nice and in particular I love the two-toned and metallic sandals (very on trend for this season) and adorable wedge heels (like the ones below).

But let’s talk about the dress first. I adore this kaftan – it’s called the Drumming Kaftan and is cut from luxurious, linen fabric. This is slightly longer at the back which is great and works amazingly as a shirt dress. The print is a vibrant all-over drum print and the fabric is 100% linen.

Linen is machine-washable but it needs to be cared for when ironing – it should be damp when you iron it (and you will need to iron linen as it wrinkles easily) and a towel should be put under it. Trust me, I Googled it and watched a Martha Stewart video!

DSC_0836I love having clothes that are made of nice fabric – they look so much better and last so much longer if you take care of them properly. This dress costs about £50 which I think is reasonable for the fabric and look and feel.

I have paired the dress with White Stuff Marianne Crossover Wedge shoes. These are so comfortable – the most comfortable pair of wedge heels I have ever owned. And I’ve learned my lesson in the past – I just don’t wear uncomfortable shoes for long, even if they are the nicest shoes on the planet. These are luckily super cute and super comfy, due to the elasticated straps. What a brilliant idea to have elasticated straps! Sometimes it’s the little things isn’t it?

For accessories I have paired the dress and shoes with a Michael Kors bag – new for this season that I picked up from Selfridges as an Easter treat. With Topshop sunnies, a Michael Kors Rose Gold Watch and a few small pieces of jewellery from H&M, you simply can’t go wrong.

The whole look will take you from day to night, beach to bar. What more could you want?

The dress also has a lovely detail on the back where it buttons up and gathers slightly in the back to give it more shape. It’s easy to lose your shape in a shirt dress but this one keeps its shape due to the gathering in the back.

The print is vibrant and bright, perfect for summer!
