I am a bit of a mixologist when it comes to fashion. I love mixing high street and luxury brands for a seriously bespoke cocktail of fashion goodness. I love high street fashion for fast trends and everyday clothes but I turn to luxury when it comes to shoes, bags, accessories and anything else I feel is an ‘investment piece.’
So I spy with my little eye…some luxury pieces mixed with high street in this smart weekend look. First off, let’s start with the Dior sunglasses. I love a pair of sunglasses and Dior doesn’t disappoint when it comes to rocking it with a giant pair of sunnies.
With accessories I always go luxury. I love my Michael Kors rose gold watch as well as my Barney & Taylor Rosehill Satchel and they go with everything! I love the pop of yellow that the strap of The Rosehill gives to any outfit.
The boots are my main focus of this outfit and they are from Ted & Muffy, a fairytale British shoemaker from London! These are a true investment piece – the boots are made from sumptuous suede and have been fitted especially to my calf and feet to make the perfect fit. With boots I can’t stress how important it is to have a perfect fit – especially if they are over the knee boots! Ted & Muffy make tailor-made shoes and that’s what makes them so special!
Now here is where high street steps in. On the top we have a lovely black Boohoo duster jacket. When paired with amazing accessories, this duster jacket looks like a million bucks! I’ve received so many compliments on it. I’ve paired it here with a grey dress picked up at New Look along with a rose gold bullet necklace from H&M.
You will find that by mixing luxury accessories with high street fashion everyone wins! By knowing when to save on clothes, you can then spend on investment pieces like these gorgeous Ted & Muffy suede boots, Barney & Taylor bag, Dior sunglasses or Michael Kors watch.
I’m pretty much obsessed with these Ted & Muffy Lucina knee high boots. They’re sexy, add edge to any outfit and can ride out any season in the UK. They are very comfortable and can be worn with dresses or jeans. I’ve heard before to pick an outfit starting with the shoes and then working your way up and in this case it is true – these boots are show stoppers and I have worked my whole outfit around them!
