30 Plus Bloggers Event at Omniya London

Hey guess what? I’m over 30! As a dedicated skincare user and as someone who has always loved beauty even from a young age, I don’t actually look my age. Why? Probably has something to do with lucky DNA I inherited from my gorgeous grandmother and also trying to use the best skincare out there that there is.

That’s why I was really excited to be invited to the first 30 Plus Blogs Event at Omniya London, hosted by the one and only London Beauty Queen – Hayley Carr. Hayley started the 30 Plus Blog Collective to give a voice to the over-30 group of bloggers – there are probably more out there than you think of us! So 20-year-olds take heed and listen to your elders because we have a lot of great advice to give to you!

I had been to Omniya previously and had also reviewed the ‘Restore and Replenish Facial’ by celebrity facialist and miracle-worker Debbie Costello which I reviewed here. If you haven’t heard of Omniya it’s a bit of a one-stop shop for all of your skincare, nutrition, wellness and cosmetic needs. It has a very French pharmacy feel with their incredible skincare selection but with the added benefit of being an actual medi-clinic that can address a variety of needs from skincare to mental health. And it’s right across from Harrods making it a perfect stop after a bit of shopping.

So since I’m all about skincare, let’s get straight to the point. What skincare products can you expect to find at Omniya?

Well, all of the below and more!

There is Vichy, one of my favourite French pharmacy brands and I do love Idealia as well because it is targeted to skin that is undergoing stress, sleepless nights, poor nutrition etc. Basically anyone working in London might need this.

I was really excited to be able to try Oxygenetix – their Oxygenating Foundation is a cult-beauty buy straight from Beverly Hills. I have been wearing it lately and it’s lovely – light and breathable and on the day I wore it for the first time I had two separate compliments on my skin! It manages to look fresh throughout the day as well.

Zo Skin Health is another brand that has been on my hit list. This Zo Skin Health Offects Cleanser is fab as well. Although I love a good oil cleanser I had found myself craving just a simple foaming cleanser again to really feel like I removed all my make-up. This one does it as well and a little goes a long way. DSC_0262

La Roche-Posay remains one of my favourite brands of all time. Their products are simply, effective and I can’t wait to try this Redermic R intensive treatment. It contains Retinol so I know I’m in for a treat:)

Oh SkinCeuticals! How I love thee…honestly, if you want really good skincare that sorts out ageing and everything else that comes with it you need to try this brand. It’s really, really good.

Fillerina by Labo is one I haven’t tried before but as I get older I am suffering from volume loss in the face so CAN’T WAIT to try this one! Volume loss happens after you hit 30, target it while you can!

So if you are in the market for some new skincare and want to talk to trained professionals that can give you a really good recommendation I would seriously stop by Omniya. And they have a wide range of products at different price points so you can come in with any budget!
