I’ve got lots of first looks this year so far which is really exciting because then I can share with you a little sneak peek of what is coming soon. Gosh Copenhagen is one of those high street brands that you can never appreciate until you try it. I previously was really impressed by them when they launched their Foundation Drops (which give Cover FX a run for their money) and have ever since been very pleased with their new launches (their matte lipsticks are also really good). They have loads coming out in February this month so be on the look out (exclusive to Superdrug)!
First up is their 9 Shades Shadow Collection, ‘To Be Cool in Copenhagen’. These are seriously cool shades for everyday and they are matte – so therefore ooze sophistication. The colours are really blendable and work best together – with shades from light to dark you can pretty much do anything from a really natural neutral eye to a smoky eye for more serious days.
Something I’m really excited about from this new collection are the Forever Eye Shadow Sticks. These are matte and waterproof which means they don’t budge. Honestly when I swatched them I couldn’t get them off my hand without soap so these are going to stay on through the day.
The great thing about these is convenience! They are so fast and easy to use and will create the easiest smoky eye look you will ever have in your life.
I took them and applied the darker colour in Dark Brown to the whole lid and underneath the eye as well, blended for three seconds with my fingertip and tadah….smoky eyes!
Here’s another product from the new collection that I am particularly excited about: the NEW Lip Oils. These are infused with a blend of oils and active ingredients such as Sea Buckthorn, Moringa Oil, Argan Oil and Macadamia Oil. They are ultra-soothing and slick on the lips – they feel amazing to be honest and give more hydration than a lip balm. Great for winter!
You can see below (pictures not retouched) that the Lip Oils are really sheer and plumping to the lip as well. You can also layer these over lipsticks too.
Speaking of lipsticks, Gosh lipsticks are really good. The below is a new colour for this year in ‘Smoothie’. They are matte and glide on really well for a matte lipstick.
Another exciting launch are the Lumi Drops (below)! This is an illuminating highlighter which can also be mixed in with your foundation to give a more luminous glow. The below colour is Peach which really suits my skin tone.
I’ve swatched this below and also wearing it in the above pictures. It’s a very shimmery, glowy formula but doesn’t look sparkly (thank goodness).
And last but certainly not least is the Gosh Primer Plus which is a primer + illuminator (genius!). Great for the winter to really give you that glow back. Wear it under your foundation and it will help to smooth out imperfections, fine lines and pores as well as giving you a nice natural glow. What’s not to love?
