I am a huge fan of Clarins so always wait in anticipation of what new seasonal launches they bring out. I’m a huge fan of everything they do – from make-up to skincare and this spring they have some really exciting launches including their new boosters! Trust me, the Clarins new spring launches do not disappoint. Read on please!
Okay so first off let’s talk about the boosters. These are handy little things that you add to your existing skincare or make-up (a few drops in the foundation perhaps?) to help boost it. Now, it depends on what you are looking for when you choose a booster. Is it detoxing your skin – i.e. too many late nights, drinking, partying, standing on a busy street exposed to pollution? Or could it be repairing the skin – i.e. fine lines and slack skin with an anti-ageing focus? Or perhaps it might be energising the skin – i.e. dull or lackluster skin that just seems well, dull. Well, lucky us because Clarins has thought of all three. There are the Clarins Detox Booster, Clarins Repair Booster and Clarins Energy Booster.
Boosters are a big thing these days and they really do supercharge your skincare or make-up. I love to use them to add to my foundation because if I am using serious anti-ageing skincare, I also want to make sure that I am replicating that same care when it comes to make-up. So the boosters are brilliant for transforming just simple foundation into a foundation with a benefit.
You may ask me what my favourite booster is. That’s a tough question but I really like the Energy Booster because I do lead a very hectic lifestyle and I find that this one perks my skin up – it helps tone it and makes it look more energetic. And the magic ingredient in this? It’s the Korean super-powered Ginseng.
I also love the Detox Booster simply because I live in London which naturally exposes my skin to polluted air. Not good because over time, these toxins build up in skin and the detox mechanism fails. This booster contains green coffee which stimulates the detox process. Sounds good to me!
Along with the boosters, Clarins has launched their new Sunkissed Make-up Collection too! I LOVE the Instant Light Lip Comfort Oil. This is an oil/gloss hybrid and incredibly moisturising. For those addicted to lip balms and glosses like me, this is the one you need. It’s really moisturising and feels lovely once applied.
It’s almost summer so you will need a bronzer to go with your new summer tan. Clarins makes the prettiest bronzers around and this Summer Bronzing & Blush Compact does double-duty as both a blush and a bronzer. It’s also matte and fights pollution. What more could you ask for from a bronzer?
For the eyes there is the new Ombre Iridescent Waterproof Eyeshadow Creams. These are easy to use and the pigment is really rich so you only need a little to go a long way. And with the warm weather of summer bound to make your make-up melt, these are little lifesavers as they will stay put on eyelids!
