There is always a feeling of excitement when my monthly Glossybox arrives. I usually can’t wait to open it and see what is inside – seriously it is like being a kid at Christmas. No one ever gets over opening a box of goodies and to get a surprise box of them every month? Well, that’s the dream isn’t it? The June Glossybox is all about summer and it should be, shouldn’t it? There is probably something for everyone in this month’s box…
So what’s inside? Ta dah! It’s the big reveal (below) and the official unboxing. You can see that this month the June Glossybox is really packed full of some serious goodies that cover everything from haircare to sun protection.
First let’s start with the face – I love Konjac sponges and have used them in my skincare routine previously. They are really exfoliating without being too rough on the skin so they are also nice for sensitive skin types. I also like that they are soft and squishy when they get wet and feel really massaging and soothing on the face. These are really popular in Asia and come from the konjac plant so the actual sponge itself is completely natural. A really great product and highly recommended!
For the hair you can’t go wrong with the classic Aussie 3 Minute Miracle. I’ve used this stuff since my teens I swear and this one is in a handy packet that you can take with you to the gym or on a weekend away. Great for when your hair is feeling dry and sun-parched after a beach holiday.
I was really excited for the next product which is the Emite Lip & Cheek Tint. It’s a very generous size and I used it straight away as a lip tint and it is lovely. It leaves a nice rosy stain on your lips that looks super natural like you have just bit your lips softly. This would be the perfect lip product for a beach holiday because it leaves a really natural but beautiful stain and it’s not too much. It makes your lips look like they were born to be rosy! And this also works as a cheek tint which I didn’t try yet but am keen to as it’s something that I can easily use if I’m on holiday and don’t have much room for packing.
You can’t go wrong with after-sun lotion. We’ve all been there before with raw skin and an after-sun lotion can really soothe. Usually after-sun lotions are packed with extra ingredients as well so think of them as super-charged body lotions. This one is De Bruyere After Sun Lotion and smells of Monoi which makes you think of the tropics.
There is also a mini sample of the Origins GinZing Energy Boosting Moisturiser which will prove handy again if you need to go away for the weekend and have to pack a moisturiser. I find these mini samples are great to keep in my handbag and I sometimes dab them around my eyes during the day if I feel my skin is dry or I need a pick-me-up. This GinZing moisturiser is exactly that as well – it’s an energy-boosting moisturiser that will help perk up and brighten skin. Sign me up!
Last but definitely not least is the Ladival Sun Protection Spray. This is actually brilliant because it is a spray-on formula. I tested it all over my arm and it sprayed out easily, rubbed in easily and wasn’t greasy. My biggest complaint time and time is that sunscreen is often greasy but this one is really nice. This one also does double-duty because not only does it protect against just UVA or UVB, it also shields the skin from infrared-A rays.Who knew? But now that you know you can’t turn back and must have it! Darn those infrared rays!
