When Lookfantastic partners with ELLE magazine you know it’s gonna be good. One mega beauty site collaborating with one beauty know-it-all and you get one heck of an edit! This month’s Lookfantastic beauty box has been curated by ELLE and is all about bringing you the most exciting products in the industry. So let’s see what’s inside shall we?
I have skin that is prone to pigmentation which was verified quite recently on a trip to the Nova Asthetic Clinic in Greenwich (see full post HERE) where I was told I need to be using products that target both pigmentation and hydration. I actually just ran out of serum so was really happy when this Skin Chemists 24H Aqua Repair Facial Serum landed on my desk from Lookfantastic. This product contains antioxidants and actives that work on stimulating skin renewal which ultimately results in brighter, smoother skin. I’ve got minor pigmentation but really have to use products that help my my skin tone more even.
I’ve heard so much about the new Vine Active launch from Caudalie lately so have been really keen to try it out. This is a 3-in-1 cream that is great for hydration (my thirsty skin is sighing with relief) and it has anti-pollution technology so is great for people living in the city. If you didn’t already know pollution actually wreaks havoc on skin and hormones so whatever you can do to minimise the effects the better. I like the consistency and texture of this products as well – really lovely!
Next up is another brand I love which is PUR Minerals. The product included in this month’s Lookfantastic box is a PUR Minerals Disappearing Act Concealer. And thank goodness because I’ve been looking for a good concealer for awhile and am keen to try this one out. It helps to hide dark circles, blemishes and redness and it also fights blemishes at the same time (woohoo)! A little miracle in a pot by the looks of it.
So yesterday I went to Victoria’s Secret to try on swimsuits for an upcoming holiday and I was pretty disappointed to see how pale and ‘wintery’ I was looking in the dressing room mirrors. So this St. Tropez Instant Gloss appeared and literally read my mind I think because I was just thinking about getting a spray tan or doing something to combat the pale, wintery look. You can actually use this product to enhance an existing tan or use it on its own. I think I’m still going to get the spray tan but pack this in my bags to put on top of it!
And last but certainly not least I am always blabbering on about treating the fine lines around the eyes (eyes show the first signs of ageing) so this Starskin Eye Catcher Smoothing Coconut Bio-Cellulose Second Skin Eye Mask will definitely be put to good use. It contains coconut juice and liquorice root extract but is also soaked in a load of vitamins that helps reduce dark circles and fine lines. Just what I was looking for!
