I’m like a magpie when it comes to palettes. There is just something so desirable about them and it doesn’t matter how many I have I can never get enough. The shiny packaging and the multitude of shimmery shades to choose from inside…it’s like opening a Christmas present every single day. So today I’m singing the praises of the newest palettes and top luxe make-up that I love and also the products that make it easy to shine and glow girl!
Shine and Glow: Top Luxe Make-Up Picks for Fall
This palette is not only gorgeous but also motivational with the ‘Don’t Quit Your Daydream’ quote on the top of the palette. This is feel good in every way from the quote to the formula. If you don’t know Tarte get on board. This brand uses high-performance naturals to create the most gorgeous make-up, showing that natural can be stunning when it comes to cosmetics.
I also like that this palette not only contains 7 eyeshadows but a highlighter as well to help you get that glow. The pigment in these shadows is incredible – long-lasting and blendable – dreamy fo’ sure. The shades include Rock On (cream), Visionary (champagne), Loveee (light caramel), Boss Lady (bronze gold), Strive (golden peach), Runway (chestnut), Werk (brown) and Shine On (white gold highlighter). Use it with the Tarte Eyeshadow Brush (Exclusive to QVC) for the best blend.
Anything that says ‘rainbow’ has me hooked. And this multi-shade Tarte highlighter does indeed do rainbow very well with four light pastel shades that create an iridescent effect. I love how blendable the pigment is as well. So if you are feeling like you are lacking a bit of that glow, swipe a bit of this across your cheeks (I even used it as an eyeshadow) and you will be glowing in no time! You can either blend it in and swirl the shades together or create a rainbow strobe effect (with darkest shade at the bottom).
I kid you not when I say that I use the Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette EVERY SINGLE DAY. I have been a long-time fan of Urban Decay eyeshadows so waited in great anticipation for the Urban Decay Heat Palette. I watched Urban Decay Heat Palette review after another until I finally got a hold of one myself and let’s just say it does not disappoint! I think this might be the best Urban Decay palette to date and I say that because every shade in the palette is so wearable with warm browns, burnt oranges and deep reds.
The shades are perfect for fall as well – think of the burnt reds and golds of a tree in full autumn and you will see what I mean. The texture is still the one we know and love with long-lasting pigment that blends well and lasts all day long. The palette contains a mix of matte and shimmer pigments so you can mix and match as you wish. It’s a copper, gold and bronze dream. The boldest shade is probably En Fuego, a matte red that I didn’t think would suit me but actually did. Urban Decay describes the shades as perfect to create a ‘sunset eye’ and I couldn’t agree more.
Shades include Ounce (ivory shimmer), Chaser (light nude matte), Sauced (soft terra-cotta matte), Low Blow (brown matte), Lumbre (copper shimmer w/gold pearl shift), He Devil (burnt red matte), Dirty Talk (metallic burnt red), Scorched (metallic deep red w/gold micro-shimmer), Cayenne (deep terra-cotta matte), En Fuego (burgundy matte), Ashes (deep reddish-brown matte) and Ember (deep metallic copper-burgundy).
I’m not big into glitter but I do love a good shimmer and this Stila Glitter & Glow is big on the shimmer even though it does contain glitter particles. I also love it because it’s quick and easy – you just swipe it across the eyelids for a gorgeous shimmery look that is perfect for day or night because you can build it up. If you want subtle shimmer you can just apply a light dab but if you want serious sparkle you can apply another layer on top!
