With the end of Organic September coming to a close I want to take a moment to appreciate some of the organic and natural beauty products that I have been testing out this month. From make-up to nails to skincare, there are organic solutions if you are looking to go down that route.
With all the stress I put my nails under with so many polish changes peppered with intermittent gel nail applications I sometimes just need to give them a break. I have decided to go back to natural when it comes to nails and use the most gentle formulas out there. I love Spa Ritual when it comes to natural nail brands. This vegan brand has amazing nail polishes – and none of them have any toxic chemicals. The colours are trendy and they don’t sacrifice quality for the sake of being natural. I am loving the new A/W ranges below in Bright Future and Take Action.
Take Action is a lovely sheer and shimmery colour that is perfect if you are wanting to give your nails a break but don’t want to go completely bare.

Bright Future (below) is a gorgeous aubergine purple colour that has a high shine and looks fabulous for this season.

Another brand that I am loving at the moment for nails is Butter London. I’ve got the 3 Free Nail Lacquer in La Moss and it satisfies my need for dark, vampy colours at the moment. Again, no toxic chemicals and a lovely glossy shine that lasts – love it!

In regards to skincare, if you are looking for a genuine Soil Association certified organic product I love Pinks Boutique. I have covered their range previously here and really enjoy using their products because of the lovely smell! The products smell amazing – so if you are looking for aromatherapy, organic and anti-ageing look no further. I have the Ocha & Rosehip Moisuriser which is great for just getting back to basics. My skin sometimes gets irritated by all that I put it through and sometimes it’s nice to just give it a break and go back to basics.
The formula sinks in really well into the skin and my skin really drinks it up. It’s meant for dehydrated skin and this would be a lovely one to take on the plane on a long-haul flight as the scent really refreshes your senses.
Sometimes people say to me that they can’t find an organic make-up brand and I always recommend them to use Lavera. Lavera’s products are great and it just goes to show that these natural and organic brands are really giving the power players a run for their money!

One product I love is the Lavera Soft Glowing Highlighter. This gives just the faintest glow and is great to use for either contouring or the strobing effect to give yourself a nice glow. A much needed friend during the winter months when skin gets dull!

As you can see below, this gives just the faintest shimmer so it looks natural. It also blends well so is great for using anywhere really!

I was really pleasantly suprised by the softness of Lavera lipsticks! These feel really moisturising and almost like velvet on the lips with a lovely creamy texture. This is a lovely berry shade called ‘Maroon Kisses’ and it’s a classic colour that will take you from day to night. I found that you could build up the colour by applying it once or several times so whether you are going to the office or to a party this colour seems to really suit every situation.

I’ve really enjoyed celebrating Organic September! What are some of your favourite natural or organic brands?
