Over the Easter weekend I was whisked away to Northridge Hall which is a beautiful Kate & Tom’s Estate just outside of Leeds (in Ledshem) by The Blogger Programme. It’s always nice to escape London for a bit and get out of the city. The Kate & Tom’s properties are absolutely stunning as well (I’ve been to 3!) and you can read about my previous trips to their properties in Dorset and the Cotswolds HERE and HERE. Basically, they are giant estates that you can rent out as a group. So, if you want to get away from it all for a UK staycation and hang out with a big group of your friends and family for a weekend in a picturesque countryside location then the properties are definitely worth checking out.
I always love a UK staycation and sometimes you can find the prettiest spots on your own doorstep. The weather while we were at Northridge Hall was also amazing when we went and the mansion was incredible with multiple rooms, fireplaces, a HUGE kitchen and dining hall and there were even HOT TUBS! You can see me wearing my Figleaves swimwear in the pictures below and I have to say that the temperature of the hot tubs as well was perfect (no lukewarm water hallelujah).
It’s easy to get there as well – I met Massiel at Kings Cross station and we headed up to Leeds – it’s about a 2.5 hour trip from London. Once you get to Leeds station you can just catch an Uber to Northridge Hall. We arrived late so unfortunately missed the group dinner at The Foundry with Masterchef star Matt Healy but managed to live vicariously through the rest of the group’s Instagram stories.
The mansion itself is beautiful, set on half an acre so you have plenty of space to roam. Northridge Hall also sleeps 16 so there is plenty of room inside too with high ceilings and large bedrooms.
Massiel and I arrived to a room that was decked out with so many goodies we could hardly believe it! First up there were beauty goodies from Freeman Beauty, a brand I used to use during my teenage years in the USA. So just by seeing them it started bringing back all sorts of memories of cucumber face masks and foot creams!
And in fact, there was a Barefoot Overnight Foot Treatment waiting for me on the bed (honestly the BEST foot cream ever) along with a Cucumber & Pink Salt Clay Mask as well as 3 sheet masks (Dead Sea Mineral Clay Mask, Pore-Cleansing Strawberry & Mint Sheet Mask and Plumping Manuka Honey + Nectarine Lip Mask). Being tired from the week and the trip it didn’t take me long to slather the foot cream all over my feet and also plop on a sheet mask.
More goodies awaited from Tangle Teezer (their brushes are a GODSEND for fine hair), Blank Canvas (a marble brush set of dreams), Avon (the most amazing range of lipsticks from Mark by Avon – I’ve got one in the image below) and the prettiest rose gold bracelet ever from Annie Haak (as shown in the picture below below). Honestly whenever we go away with The Blogger Programme we always get spoiled – it’s better than Christmas!
There were also some fab swimsuits from Figleaves who have a great selection online as well as I got a Calvin Klein bra/underwear set (WINNING!) that is so soft I could cry. I’ve worn swimsuits from Figleaves from previous holidays (picture below of me in Spain with my Figleaves swimwear) and honestly they are so flattering. I can’t wait to wear them all throughout the summer.
And to make it even better the room was FILLED with clothes from Pretty Little Thing – literally a dream come true. Our group always takes sooo many photos on these trips so it’s really nice to have new clothes to take the photos in. In fact, in all of these photos in this post I am wearing clothes from Pretty Little Thing including the coat of my dreams which so many people have already asked me about!
So after the excitement of opening all the gifts which were so incredibly generous it was time to head off to bed.
The next morning, we woke up really early to get some breakfast and do some photography around the property. The sun was out and it was the start of a four-day weekend so there was no way to not be happy! There were so many beautiful rooms to get some fab photos in which makes it so much nicer because then you don’t have to freeze outside taking photos.
Massiel and I then called a cab to take us to Trinity Leeds to do some shopping before we were to meet up with everyone else later at the afternoon activity. Trinity Leeds is a huge shopping centre with 120 shops and restaurants in the heart of Leeds that has all your big brand shops right where you need them. So, if you are visiting Leeds and want to do some shopping then it’s certainly worth a browse through. There are also lots of restaurants within the centre that you can eat at including having a cocktail at The Alchemist on the roof.
I hit up H&M which is always my go-to to pick up some summer pieces. I managed to find some fabulous sandals that I know I will be wearing all summer and I also popped to Primark to pick up some basics like t-shirts and bodysuits. I also happened to find an amazing linen (yes real linen) jacket at Primark that I couldn’t resist. Also, did you know that Primark has the best socks? Literally, get some! I even got some photos with my new clothes I picked up from Trinity Leeds.
After shopping, Massiel and I picked up some sushi at Wasabi and then headed to the afternoon activity which was at the Tick Tock Unlock Escape Room. If you haven’t heard of this kind of activity before (I hadn’t) then basically you have an hour to get out of a room and solve all these clues to get yourself out of the room within the set timeframe. As a group, we chose to do the scary Asylum game which was set in a haunted asylum. We were then tasked with getting out of a secret chamber within the asylum and finding out all the mysteries around the haunted asylum.
It was really fun and quite scary as well. During the hour you are given clues to solve the mystery and get out of the room and we nearly made it out in time, missing it by just four minutes! If you are in Leeds and up for a bit of fun, it’s certainly worth checking out if you are with a group of people.
